My word, I swear I've never changed resorts the way we have this trip.

We started at Pop Century, then considered Beach Club (which quickly got nixed by DH and DD), then we considered and talked at length about CBR and were about to make that ressie, but last minute booked Wilderness Lodge instead. Then a day later, changed my mind and went for the Grand Floridian.

So happy with our final decision but the overthinking to get from the start to now was Now the 46 day countdown begins.

GF is amazing, you'll love it there!

So I just booked 2 nights at POP !! I thought I had outgrown values but that dd wants a trip down memory lane.

However I need to see the refurb at gf and scored a passholder rate for deluxe king RPC for the last night

Can't wait to see the new rooms!

Anybody else looking forward to the frozen stuff at HS??? Seems COOL!!!

Ginny, you had quite the adventure out west. You're a real trooper to roll with it all and make some adjustments to your fall plans as needed. I see your dates now and I'll update the BoardWalk Bulletin. Can't recall if the cottage was in there, but I'll remove it. Are you going to request to be close to the lounge for DH? We don't want you guys outside the Innkeeper's Club door. Are you going to request a Garden or BW View?

So you couldn't use the Military rate? I wouldn't give up on using it if you don't mind calling every once in a while. I think it would be an extra 5% off the BB rate?

I was really surprised, too that when we were at YC and WL in June/July, the resorts were at 100% occupancy. I understand how the convention resorts can easily fill up, but WL surprised me.

You and DH are going to have a great time and just take it day by day. Can't wait to hear about your trip when you return. Will you post a TR perhaps?

Thank you for updating the Bulletin. It's always a happy thing to see vacation dates there.
I am waiting for the new salute (cross fingers it's offered) for dates after late Sept. If it is, I'll be sure to call.

I'm starting to think about where I'd like to stay in 2017 for my 40th birthday. Are they refurbishing BCV anytime soon? Thinking BWV or BCV may be the way to go for F&W.

Wookie, It was an adventure, but it worked out nicely, thankfully.

We've been there before with United! We got stranded in Denver and it ended up all working out in the end. Glad the same went for you all as well!

I wish Disney would ban me from their website! Except for a few ADR's, I'm always looking to see what's available. I am happy to say that for our first full day, we added lunch at 50's Prime Time! We have eaten their once but I want to try their PB&J shake!

pigletgirl, It was Denver for us, too! We were glad to get that far the first night, though. Once we're out of a teeny airport and onto a much bigger one, it's so much easier to get new flights.

I was happy to see more information out on the events for Epcot Food and Wine 2014. I think I read that the complete list should be out by July 24th, with booking to start on July 31st.

I was so happy to see this as well! Although, we probably won't get to do any of the events since we'll have our 6 y/o DS with us. But, it's still fun to check them out. And I'm ready for them to release the full list of the booths and their offerings! YUM!

I also saw yesterday that on July 30th, the 2015 packages will be released for WDW & DLR! So ready to start pricing out and REALLY planning our trip out west next year!

Beach Club is more my style and I like the idea of walking to Epcot and boating to DHS. But, I think my kids will like AoA better. Disney is for the kids, right????? Last time we went we stayed at Polynesian. I also thought of booking 2 rooms at Pop, but I think AoA is something my kids will dig now (in a few years probably not so much). December is a great time for a visit to WDW.
You will not lose your dining, BBB, or Pirate league reservations with a resort change.
There have been some reports of folks losing their FP+ reservations with changes. (These are available for onsite guests 60 days out.)
I think you have two great resort options, either would be lots of fun for adults and kids alike. It's always hard to choose.

It probably really depends on dates, but I found there wasn't a ton of availability while I was on the phone at WDW. I went ahead and booked something, with the plan to chance as availability opened up. It worked out really well to do this. I just kept calling. When you want to change a BB reservation, you call the same BB number that you call while at WDW, 407.939.1923. I had to add one day at a time, but it gave me a nice savings for a few days of our trip.
