As if things couldn't go from bad to worse, my dog died today.

I lost a teacher yesterday, and my dog died today. :guilty: :sad2: :sad1:

She was almost 16, and for a German Shepherd that's remarkable. Her old age just caught up with her and she passed away in her sleep. Surprisingly, I'm not sad, I expected it. I'm just going to miss her waaaaaaaay lots.

RIP Princess. <3 youuu

I am so so sorry.
I understand how you feel completely.
We had to put our corgi down in November. She had a giant cancerous tumor in her stomach.
It was, and still is really hard sometimes. She was the best dog ever, and only six years old.

So yeah, I understand your pain. Animals can be such a blessing, and really are mans best friend.

Here's my baby. (Do you have a picture of Princess?)

Awww, I'm sorry for your loss. I know how it feels to lose a loved pet.:hug:

It's always best when they go on their own (to me).

I'm so sorry. I hate when pets die. :(

aww Im so sorry. at least she passed away peacefully.

maybe you should think about getting a puppy.
I did that when my dog passed away. He's all grown up now and he's the leader of the pack. :)

sorry sonya losing a dog is sooooo hard :sad1: putting my baby to sleep a couple of years ago still makes me sad to think about it.:hug:
hope things look up for you!!

awww

buy a new pet is a good solution.

i bought a puppy when my guinea pigs died and she has been with us for 10 years :)

I'm so sorry. <33

We lost my dog of ten years this past May/June. She had been severely obese her entire life, and no doctor ever thought to look into it. Towards the end of her life she had some sort of severe anemia where she stopped eating, stopped playing, and within 4 days she didn't recognize us anymore and was completely unresponsive.

We took her to the emergency clinic, we even went through a blood transfusion for her, just to prolong her at least a little longer (it was how quickly we lost her that was so hard... went from normal to horrible in 5 days), but after they di some scans they discovered some cancer, and her stomach and liver were extremely engorged (which is why she was so huge her entire life, no vet ever thought to look). Poor thing was soooo big for a Beagle. We had to make the decision to put her down on the phone and we chose not to visit her again before, because she couldn't recognize us anymore and that hurt too much.

I know how hard it is to lose a part of the family and I'm sorry to hear of her passing, but I am happy it was peaceful.

The same thing happened with us.
She was fine and then a within a week she went from fine to having to be put down. It was a complete shock.

I'm so sorry.

I know how it feels.
A few years ago, we had to put our Patches to sleep. She was 2.. barley 2. 2and 2 weeks or something. Half her heart was three times too big, she had a low white blood cell count, fluid in her lungs, and some other issues.
Never getting a pet store dog again. EVER.
I miss her lots.
