As if Charley and Frances weren't enough -- Hurricane Lauri and Jeff hit WDW!!

I heard from Lauri earlier today. She got into the Orlando airport yesterday and met up with Arizona Jeff and his daughter Mallorie (a.k.a. Princeless Princess). Today was there first full day at WDW, and I don't know if WDW will ever be the same.

First, I've been informed that on future visits we will only be staying at the Swan, because apparently the beds are heavenly.

Second, Mallorie has waaaaaaaay too much energy.

Third, I spoke to Scoop, who couldn't figure out how I ended up inside the little silver box Lauri handed him but who did inform me that Lauri was awarded the Mickey & Stitch CTT!

Fourth, Lauri hasn't been to WDW in two years and has been making up for lost time. She's been so busy lanyard trading that I may have to FedEx a lanyard trader care package to her.

Tomorrow starts the first of the Great Pin Adventure mini-meets. No word on whether or not they will be recreating the slow-mo parking lot scene from National Lampoon's Vacation, but if they do, hopefully they'll send pictures.

WOW! Two years - I didn't realize it had bee nthat long since she had been to WDW - she must be like a kid in a candy store this week!

I understand those heavenly beds are wonderful!!

And tell Lauri to stop table dancing at Pin central. Those pin people hold those tables very dear to their hearts.

Although she's real cute up there, she keeps messin up pin trades.

So Mathew reel her in, and put your foot down man hold her to curfew or something....

having just done the lanyard thing in June after a 4 year absence, I say you had better be sending that care package now Matt, I mean it. There may not be lots of les out there but there are some fun pins to be found if you keep looking. Glad they are having a great time......

I think it was Lauri who had too much energy. She must have hit every lanyard in every park. You know you are pin trading too much when the cast members comment, "Are you back again? These are the only two pins I have that are different from when I saw you last." It got to the point that she had to conserve the trades in order to ration out her remaining traders. Lauri put stuff back on lanyards that was better than my best stuff. It got to the point where I decided my best chance at success would be to just follow her around and trade for the pins she put on the lanyard. By yesterday, she finally just threw up her hands and told me to go through the handful of traders she had before she went to the parks to save us time.
