As God is my witness, I'll never wear polyester again!

How WONDERFUL!! Feels as good as losing 10 pounds, huh?? :cloud9:

Hi! Thanks for visiting me, too! I was proud to be your first guest! :) My back is feeling so much better. I have two fish - named Bubba and Bubbette. (Well, I found out later that Bubbette should really be another Bubba... ;) ) I play VMK, which is a disney online game and my id is BubbasFriend. Keep working hard! :)

Congrats on all that great news!!!! And good thing she listened to her intuition and went to another doctor!!!! WOW - and congrats on the weight loss - that is great!!!! BRAVO

Keep on

Well on the negative side- we had Domino's and leftover Domino's and leftover leftover Domino's over the weekend. I used a good many Flex points. I slacked off a little on the water. And I opted for naps Sat. and Sun. rather than starting my running training.

On the POSITIVE side- I did journal each day. I did not eat any sweets other than a few WW treats. I drank more water than I usually do on the week ends. I have some Flex points left!! And overall this was the best dieting weekend I have had in 3 years.

So I consider this major progress and I feel very good today.

A toast; to a better week-end than usually and to making even more progress next weekend! :drinking:

I'm glad it was a good dieting weekend. It is tough - no doubt about it. I also like to look at the progress... like I am 15 lbs lighter than last year at this time and I am making better choices... We can't be "perfect" all the time. I read somewhere about being good (food wise) 90 percent of the time will make a difference. At times that is all I can aim for!
Have a good day. Had to check in on the polyester lady!

Great news on the baby!!! Very good that she didn't listen to the doctor!!!!

You are doing great. Keep up the good work!

Have you hired your "food slapper" yet?? I have started ordering the thin crust pizza with only cheese. It's only 3 pts a slice and it still tastes pretty good! Yummm...pizza... :flower:

Appitizers are my favorite too! For my b-day, DH took me to a Spanish tapas place (sort of like Spoodles at WDW) and we ate tapas and drank wine all night! We might do the same for his b-day. Pizza is also a weakness for me...although we usually do Papa Johns instead of Dominos. Wouldn't it be nice if one of them started doing a whole wheat crust? I bet they'd make tons of $$$.

Congrats on the loss! Remember, any loss is a good loss, and it's not a race.

Have a great day! :)

Nice job on the loss, Cindy!!! That's great!!!

Awesome news-and congrats!!! That's celebration worthy!

Karyn- This is hysterical. My DM keeps my 3 DD's during the day. When I got off work and got home she shoves a Domino's box towards me and says here we ordered pizza for lunch and saved you some. Thin crust cheese!!

Anyway I had some pizza for dinner and would have been fine points wise except that I ate too early and by 9:00pm I was starving. 3 pieces of toast with grape jelly on white bread cut into the old flex points.

Today should be pretty good. I packed my lunch again. And I have a Krewe meeting to go to after work. It is a salad supper. With my finicky tastes I'm sure there will not be much at all that will interest me. Then I can have a later dinner at home tonight. Only challenge will be the desserts. I will allow myself one VERY small treat. I could vow to skip the desserts, but Hey that's crazytalk.

Are we related?? Toast with jelly is one of my all-time favorite snacks. I get the thin sandwich bread and it's only 1 pt for each piece. I just get the WalMart brand. It doesn't feel like I'm cheating that way! I got some of the new Sara Lee Whole Grain white bread the other day, but it's higher in points and doesn't taste as good to me! Good luck with dessert. Don't deprive yourself of everything, because if you do, you'll dive in head first and blow your flex points for the month! I know from experience because I have done that (only once or twice!) :confused3

Have a good time tonight! :daisy:

Hi Cindy - after reading your "food slapping" comment, I just had to come over and check out your journal! :teeth:

I know what you mean about the weekends, I really have a hard time drinking enough water! Usually I force myself to drink 32 oz in the morning with breakfast, then cross my fingers that I drink some more throughout the day (but it's nothing like the 100+ oz I can guzzle during a work day!).

Congrats on your weight loss. Keep it up, you can do it!

Well the salad supper went pretty well. A few sips of wine to be social. A few bites of ceasar salad (hated the dressing). Small piece of cheesy bread (delish- I went back to get more but they were all gone. The WW fairy was looking out for me). Some crackers. Now as for the desserts- 1 chocolate chip cookie (my BF made them) and 1/2 slice of black forest cake-YUM!! More than I had planned, but not too bad.

I did not eat anything when I got home so I was OK on points for the day. BF sent home a plate of cookies for DH. I gave him the "I cannot be held responsible for my actions if you leave those cookies in my kitchen speach" and he finally really listened. I think the "homemade chocolate cake that his momma made him for his b-day" disaster of July 2005 came to his mind.

Anyway I have not seen those cookies!

Yesterday- good.

Today. DM fixed lunch for me. Skillet potatoes made with PAM and a grilled cheese made with PAM. No oil no butter and it was great. She bought a scale last week and said she weighs more than she ever has and is going on a diet. I tried to talk her into going to WW with me. Oh no that didn't work for her. Well guess what I saw on her counter? A WW tracker log book. HA.

Weigh in tonight!!!!!!

Weigh in or not, you've been doing great!!! :)

Good job at the dinner- social events can be killers so it's always great to walk in with a plan.

Have a great weekend!!!

Hi!!!

Good job at dinner.....
You are going to do fine with WI but I will send some :wizard: your way!

Keep up the good work and have a great weekend!

I lost .8 lbs yesterday bringing me to 3.2lbs total. Slowly but surely.

Last night we went to eat Mexican. Slight splurge. And then my mother (the saboteur) made DH a cake. Well normally this would not tempt me because I have become a canned icing snob. My MIL showed me how to make homemade icing 15 years ago and ever since then my taste buds are too good for the pre-made stuff.

My DM has never made a cake without canned icing. UNTIL YESTERDAY :earseek:

I had one spoonful and then went to bed. I was so full from Mexican I was miserable. ...hmmmm I seem to remember in the not so distant past a pledge was made that I would never indulge to excess and be miserable again......

Perhaps something stronger than a pledge? OK I hereby take the Klingon blood oath not to over indulge again!!! KER PLAH

Today starts my new WW week! Went home at lunch and had some of the demon cake. But DH is under strict instructions to get rid of it before I get home. (Poor guy I threatened to stab him with my fork when he tried to stop me from eating it at lunch). He is soooo confused.

My major goal for this week is to only use 1/2 of my Flexpoints!

Have a great weekend all !!

Oh, it is so awesome to be ahead of schedule! I've really been able to relax these last few days! :) I teach 5th grade by the way.

It might sound strange, but the people in my area where I teach are very health conscious so we always have tons of fruits and veggies (of course Krispie Kreme, too) so they are a good influence on me!

Wow! I'm so glad that your cheese is really helping you with your calcium intake! Awesome! :)

Have a great weekend!

This is SO me and my DH too! I'm always telling him to get stuff away from me. His office is probably full of all the contraband chocolates I send there.

Congrats on the loss...any loss is a good loss. I'm a slow loser too, but I try really hard to keep it positive and and keep plugging away. Remember, it's not a race...consistency will be more important in the long run for keeping it off.

Have a great weekend. :sunny:
