As God is My Witness, I'll Never be Hungry Again - Finished w/lots of pics!!

How can you have any pudding if you you don't eat your meat? :rotfl2:

May I suggest Tony Luke's. Don't even mess around with Pat's King of Steaks or Geno's. Tony Luke's is the best. They have good roast pork sandwiches too.

Still loving the review. Oooh, me so hungry.

Sorry the best in philly,Mama's (off city line ave.)

Hey Brenda, where's the trippie? I know I'm not the only one eagerly anticipating it!

Thanks for asking...it's still stuck in my head.

Last month was craaaaazy and there is still a lot going on around here, so I haven't had much time to work on the fun stuff. I have a three-day weekend next week (love those Federal Holidays!) so hopefully I can get moving on the trippie. It would be nice to have it finished before we head back to WDW in May.

For anyone who's interested...here are our ADRs for the trip in May - I'm sure I'll be posting another food review come June! ;)

Raglan Road
Jiko
House of Blues - Gospel Brunch
Wolfgang Puck - Dining Room
Kona Cafe
Blue Zoo
V&A Chef's Table
CA Grill
Rose & Crown

There are some repeats in there because they were so much fun or so darn tasty that we had to give them another try! :thumbsup2

Thanks again for reading and Happy 2007 to you all!! :upsidedow :upsidedow

So glad you're doing this one, 'cause we ended up cancelling our WP dining room ADR in December! I'm looking forward to hearing all about it! :thumbsup2

Michelle,

where are your reviews of V&A??? I didn't imagine that you ended up eating there twice on your trip last month, did I? ;)

Yep, we went twice. We were personally invited to have dinner at the Chef's Table for Christmas Eve. It was wonderful, but my visa bill is :scared1:

I'm working on the reviews, don't worry! I even have video of the chef's table and kitchen! :thumbsup2

I'll post the reviews in my TR and here on the Dining Reviews board!

Take care!

I am reading this two months later, but I must say you are a very nice looking couple!

WOW! That was fun. I really enjoy everything...Yummy...you had a fun vacation. Everything look great.

From one Crohn to another, you really did the trip right! I have been SO entertained today reading this today, and the food porn has me downright ravenous, just when I'm entering week 2 of phase 1 of South Beach Diet!

Alas, your fabulous review has me changing ADRs for the trip in Feb, and now have squeezed in Raglan Road, Rose & Crown and tea at the GF! Brava! The Disney folks should pay you!

Best,
Donna

What? There's no more?

Please sir may I have another?

Thanks for the dining reviews -- they were wonderfully entertaining and educational.

"The restaurant will contact you about one week in advance to confirm the reservation and to find out if anyone has any allergies. They will also make sure that they have the correct spelling of the names of everyone in your party - this is beacuse they will give you a personalized menu to order from and keep as a lovely momemto. And they'll ask if you are celebrating a special occassion.

Since I made the reservation and was the contact person I decided that we should celebrate my birthday (again!). This trip was like a 10-day birthday for me - does life get any better? Anyway, I ordered a cake that I knew we wouldn't be able to eat that night - but we ate it later (all of us) and it was tremendous!"

Brenda,
We are dining at V&A's on my bday next week and I want to order a cake- well really, I want DH to order it, but I am particular about my cake!! My question is: did you order the cake when they called you ahead of time- I just made the reservation a couple of days ago and don't think that they will call me back again. Do you know who I could call?
Thanks again for your great reviews! We are doing a lot of the same restaurants as you!

Hi Laura! Happy Birthday to you! :goodvibes

Try calling this number: 407-824-1089

You may get voice mail but someone from the restaurant will call you back and you can order a cake at that time - that's what I did, even to leaving a message.

I hope you have a wonderful evening! Please be sure to let the rest of us know how it goes.

Just got thru the whole thing last night. Great report! You and your husband seem like you'd be fun to hang out with in the world.

Looking forward to more of the same!

Next up is the "scone" and jam tart:
DSC01671.jpg

I placed the word scone in paranthases because I think this is really just a biscuit with golden raisins baked into it. I'm no expert on scones, so I could be wrong, but doesn't this look like a biscuit to you? Don't worry - it was really good, soft and warm! And what you do is spread that cream over it and then smear the jam from that little jar on top of the cream and "scone" and then you eat it while rolling your eyes and making yummy noises in the back of your throat. If you have any cream left over smear it on your jam tart and chow on that puppy - wash it down with some champagne...bubbly good times!

Not sure if this has already been answered but yes that is what scones look like here! Sounds like it tasted right too! :)

Loved your report but I'm hungry now!

Brenda-Awesome reviews. Because of them I just made an ADR at the Rose & Crown! :thumbsup2

Thanks again@!

What? I thought it was Boones Farm Strawberry Hill or Mad Dog!! Guess I just aged myself huh? C'mon you young adults of the 70's, you know what I'm talkin' about!! :woohoo:

Boone's Farm was still good in the late 80's! Great budget buzz.

Ooh, ooh! I just discovered your food report! YUM! I want some tonga toast now! Even the chicken strips look good! Augh!

I haven't read it all, but I thought I might help you out with this...

Dalkey, dalkey, dalkey...I don't know what it means or where it may be but I like the way it feels on my tongue when I say it over and over again!

Dalkey is a very trendy, expensive inner-city suburb of Dublin, Ireland. :yay:

It's pronounced (unfortunately) like "Dorky". Heeee!

My sister lives in Dublin, so I've been there a few times. Lovely!

Anyway, thanks for the great dining reviews! I shall continue to read! :)

Okay, so I just read this (yes, all of it, been a boring day for me :P) and it's wonderful! I've not actually been to WDW yet, but now I know a few places I want to go (including the tea at GF - looks amazing). Thanks for sharing with us. :)

Oh, and I don't see it in your sig so this is kind of a stupid question, but did you ever get around to writing that trip report?
