As God as my witness.I'll never be sick at Disney World again~~~wrapping things up...

My gosh, I can't imagine being that cold at Disney! We typically melt down there! How funny MIL with a Hannah Montana hat....:lmao:
Again I must say, you are a saint!
If I was a saint, there wouldn't be any complaining.;)
I'm also not dillusional to think that I don't drive her insane too. Heck, I annoy myself at times.

I love all these pix...especially of each kid in front of the castle.

You have one bad incident with MIL and then you capture something magical with her...at least there's some pixie dust:thumbsup2
I was surprised the kids would hold still for those pictures because they were all so cold.
Thinks aren't always bad with MIL, but the stories are usually funny after the fact.

hunter's fighting with handcuffs on....no fair!

don't you just love that??? i think you should have to take and pass a common courtesy class before you're allowed to go to disney world.
Hunter said the handcuffs made him fighting with "the old lady" even.:rotfl2:

I think there should be a class before people are let out into public in general!

So glad you finally ran into MIL at POTC! :scared: I love the pictures of her sword fighting with Hunter!

I can tell you were all freezing just looking at the photos! Brrrr!
It felt like we were back in washington....

Your kids look so cold!!! What was the temp the week you were there?
I know it got into the low 30's during the evening...they had record breaking lows!

I'm glad you found the future Mrs. Eeeyore finally! I have to say that I think it's awesome that she was sword-fighting with Hunter - that's a cool thing for a grandma to do IMO :goodvibes You all look soooooooo cold :hyper:
She is really good at playing with the kids....she's kinda like a big kid herself most the time.
(I meant that in a nice way)

We were supposed to all meet at the MK in the morning to spend all day with the family and I got a call from my sister that morning saying my mom wouldn't come out of the room...she was crying non stop and didn't want to deal with MK. Basically my mom spent the whole time in the room....where people took turns staying with her until my dad had had enough and left with her. In her defense we've just found out she has Parkinson's so maybe that had something to do with it. ? . There's a ton of more stories but that's just an example of some of them.

It almost sounds like depression or anxiety attacks or a combination of both. Yikes!
That must have been hard on the whole family!

You snuck another update in on me! :thumbsup2

I know before I had a phone that rang and vibrated at the same time, I never heard it ring when we were at WDW. Glad you bumped into each other.

Can't believe how cold it was for you guys! On our January trip, it was very chilly a couple of mornings, but I don't remember it being that cold at night. Oh wait - we're usually done with the parks by early afternoon. :rotfl:

Wow you all do look cold, I would never think of taking blankets in with me :rotfl:

:rotfl: Your a good son DJ. Just think, one day you will get to do this stuff to your kids. :rotfl:

I don't think I would ever do things like that to my kids. As it is, sometimes my wife calls me by my mom's name for silly things that I do.

Your MIL is so funny. Wait until you read in my report about what MIL got obcessed with while we were away. I love the picture of Tigger getting his tail bit.

JORDAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have been soooooooooooooo busy with Brennan and baseball. We just got back into town late yesterday. We were at his USSSA world series. It was fun but they didn't do too well. We are leaving for the beach in Gulf Shores Alabama tomorrow. I miss all my DIS buddies. I just haven't had much free time lately. I have also been helping out my nephew next door with their new born baby. He is two months old. I watch him while his parents are at work. It is only temporary but it is more than a full time job with a little baby and a two year old. Did you check out my facebook pictures to see how big Grace is getting. I also have a prom picture of Courtney. When we get back I will post some beach family pictures. Don't get scared I won't be in a bikni or nothing of the sort. LOL I am not sure when we will go back to disney world but I hope when we do I could meet you again or Winkers . If yall ever come to Louisiana let me know.

:
my phone is always on the outside setting so I can hear/feel it! The only bad part is it's really loud when you forget to turn it off before church and someone sends you a text.

Wow you all do look cold, I would never think of taking blankets in with me :rotfl:
the average person wouldn't have thought of that...but remember she had at least 2 full size blankets just on the plane.:rotfl2:

Laura!!
I can't wait to read about your mil.
:thumbsup2

We were considering bringing my mother along with us for our next trip. Now I'm not so sure. :lmao: Love all the pictures. Sorry about the whole Eeyore thing.

As usual I was the first one up at 6. Even though I give D.Jay a hard time about me being up first and all alone, I kinda like the peace and quiet for a few minutes.

I was showred and ready before I could even get most of them out of bed. So I headed down to get some chocolate milk for breakfast, while the others got ready.

It was time for us to head for the bus and out comes MIL with her parka and full size quilt in a bag.:rotfl: D.Jay kindly told her that wasn't neccesary but she insisted. Her theory was "everyone could help carry it".

Aahhhh, yeah right. The kids all looked at me like you seriously aren't going to make us carry that thing are you?

D.Jay said "if you want to bring it it's fine, but you will have to carry it". She also had a mini back pack and her banana shaped purse thing. She was quite a sight.

All I could think was why don't you just bring a pack mule with you......oh yeah, that's what she thinks my kids are for.

On our way into AK, I looked up and saw this....

I love it when my kids act like they like eachother!
We found our way throught he turnstiles and to the ameboa of humanity while we waited for the park to open.

I hate crowds like that...I have a very strict "personal space" bubble around me. So being jostled, poked, pinched and smacked in places even my dh wouldn't dare touch in public, kinda creeps me out.

During this fun wait I had a little toddler who was fastenated with my behind. Maybe he hadn't seen one that big before:confused3

I don't know, but I couldn't figure out a polite way to say "hey, could you keep your son from playing with my butt"?

As the rope was moved and we started forward, Bailie spotted Stitch, her favorite, along the side waving. Ignoring the treat of being trampled to death she paused long enough to hug him and me snap a picture.
Yes, I know. Such bravery and sacrifice for my child.;)

Our mall walking was rewarded with being on the 3rd safari truck out. Such simple things give me joy.
It was alot of fun to watch MIL on this ride because she expected the animals to be fake.

Is it just me, or do the animals always have their butts facing you? Normally, I'm not excited about butt shots, but while on the safari as long as the picture isn't blurry and I can see an animal....it's good.

They were alot of fun and goofed around with us for awhile. Bailie refused to go near them because they "creep her out".

up next....expedition possibly

Your MIL and all of her stuff that she seems to think one needs to bring to the park just crack me up! :lmao:

I am the same way about my bubble of personal space -- maybe that's why rope drop makes me squeamish!

How could Bailie think the Jungle Book guys are creepy??? I :lovestruc them!

Your MIL and mine must be long lost relatives. You should see the stuff she takes with her just to a baseball game. She really does need a pack mule. If she read this trip report she would see nothing wrong with someone taking a full size quilt to a theme park. I mean you never know someone might get cold or want to lay down on the sidewalk and take a nap.:rotfl2:

Have you seen this youtube video yet? It is sooooooooo funny. That is the exact same way some of my family talks. I live in the heart of cajun land and that is the accent. The video reminds me of what it would be like if my Aunt Betty tried to use onstar. The guy in the video has her exact same accent.

You HAVE to watch it. :rotfl2:

sadly, she drags that much stuff with her no matter where she goes. She's like a human swiss army knife.

Monkeys give me the creeps too, so I can see why she doesn't like them.

That video was great!:lmao:
It's good to know there are other people out there like MIL. Just to go to church she brings a rolling carry on size suitcase. Seriously!

There was about one year when my mom didn't carry a large bag or suitcase for a purse. It was the one year when we quoted MTV saying, "You know you're old when your purse is larger than your head.":rotfl2:

Seriously, I thought my mom was going to quit carrying large bags all together. That quit after she forgot the saying.:headache:

I forgot to post some of Hunter's pictures from MK....

can you guess what this is?

I've been on that safari ride 3 or 4 times and have yet to see that dang lion. Well, I've seen some fuzz of the top of his head where people say, "that's where the lion's laying down", but not a really good look. You got a good look at him.

Your MIL is a hoot.

As I look at this picture I notice the family waiting behind you.....is something creeping them out as well? They must agree with MIL, look at the child in the red coat. Fur trim and all....

She would freak out at everything....we arrived 2 days earlier than the rest of my family...they booked 1 night at the AK...when they arrived to check in they were informed they were family of the day and got upgraded to a 2 br suite!:banana: Right?? well my mother was crying when I got to the room because things weren't going according to plans and she didn't know why she was flipping out. :sad2: This was a beautiful suite!!!

Inconsolable crying.... yeah, the Parkinson's could do that.
