As God as my witness.I'll never be sick at Disney World again~~~wrapping things up...

your MIL stalking eeyore is hilarious! you have so much patience. i can't wait to see how the trip progresses.
yeah, it was really funny.;)

I loved this installement.... on our trip last year my mother decided to loose it...I mean I seriously thought about having the doctor run test on her when we all got home.

As for your foot...I bruised my foot really bad one day and the doctor told me it takes extra long for the bruises to go away because of the gravity situation and your feet being at the bottom of your body. Your poor foot looks so bruised! But I bet once it heals up you'll be so glad you did it.

You'll have to share some of the things your MIL does at home! I'd love to hear some of the funny stories!

wow! It sounds like you had it alot harder than me. What was she doing?

I have to keep my foot proped up at heart level at all times...if I don't it throbs like crazy.

boy do I have stories.....I'll just have to think of them.

I've been on percocet and morphine...............clearly out of my mind most of the time.:thumbsup2

Whadda ya mean most of the time. Aren't you out of your mind all of the time? You don't need drugs for that.......

Cute pics with the "Pooh gang" I've noticed that older people just get an idea in their head and fixate on it - whether it makes sense or not. I need to apologize in advance to my kids, I think.:lmao: I'm glad you got a break from MIL.

HI there! I know I have been "remiss" on reciprocating "trip reports". I should have replied long ago. (does it help to tell you that Nebo yells at me for NOT reading HIS reports).. not buying it, huh? really.. he has to remind me to read his report.
may I say that the Winkers family, (at Biergarten)well, I felt like I knew them all along. I was not just meeting them for the first time.. .I felt like I had always known them . .. You can tell a lot about people from the demeanor of their kids... really. I must say I was very impressed. esp with teens and preteens. usually you only get a grunt, if that, from teens, preteens, put in a situation of meeting people (let alone.. imaginary friends from the DIS). while I was happy with how friendly winkers and underdog were (and knew they would be), I was especially impressed with their kids! well mannered, socialble! one even helped Nebo out!
good kids don't happen because of "happenstance"! they come from being raised by good parents. Kudos:cheer2: to winkers and underdog! good job parenting!!!!

sorry about your foot! drugs=gud!

your MIL reminds me of what my dad seems to be experiencing as he's aging. He gets fixated on something and becomes quite agitated or worried when it's not going as planned....

she's always been this way...I've known her since her mid fourties. I just never thought eeyore would be her obsession. :)

Diane!! (nearly passed out from shock)
I loved getting to meet you and Nebo too!
I'm not sure what it says about me or my kids that meeting my imaginary dis friends didn't faze them at all.:rotfl2:

I've always measured my success with the kids by how they act when we're not there, and so far they are doing pretty good. It might be that I've threatened them with hanging by their toenails if I hear they're being brats.;)

I don't know what people did before pain meds! But now after 2 weeks of morphine and percocet, I'm having headaches. But I'll gladly trade that for what it would have felt like without.

MIL has had this for a long time....I've known her almost 20 years, and it's just part of her personality.....I just wasn't expecting eeyore to be the object of her affection.;)

Yay!! A new installment! :cool1: Hope you're feeling better Cherie.

I know you were wondering why you'd invited your MIL along, but honestly - it sure is funny for the rest of us to read about her antics. ;)

there were many times dh and I looked at eachother with the look of "why did we do this" but there were also alot of times we were glad that we had. Those are harder to remember and not as often.

I do know of several nights when we commented to each other about how neat it was to re-live Disney through the eyes of someone who hadn't seen it before. (not Disney World anyway) It is just funnier commenting on those moments that caused more trouble and pain for us. As I think about it, there was much more of the latter than the former.

Something else you need to know about my mother..... She takes LOTS of pictures. Most of the times there are pictures of people we don't know, scenery without people, and pictures of animals, insects, or 20 pictures of the Statue of Liberty's nose.

With that preface in mind, most of you know that in DW you hurry at the beginning of the day and relax at the end of the day (or at least we do). Well, when you have a person who pauses every 10 steps for a "photo opportunity" you can't quite rush to where you need to be and get everything accomplished that you want to do. That's my mom. She has her moments, but I still love her.

D Jay....you are a good man. you know your mom is human and has faults, but love her just the same. you're a good role model for your kids...i think.;)

:rotfl: Your a good son DJ. Just think, one day you will get to do this stuff to your kids. :rotfl:

Our rest at the resort was just what I needed. Actually, I rested while D.Jay ran from kid to kid swipeing one of teh two 30 minute arcade cards we got with our package.

I really need the rest, my head was killing me along with my back and foot.

With all of the aches and pains, a beached whale would have moved more gracefully than I did.

on the bus..

We got back to MK around 5 and called MIL to let her know we were there.
No answer.
We walked around almost 45 minutes and she still wasn't answering.

I was just glad we had cell phones! My sister in law has great stories from about 10 years ago before any of them had cell phones. They lived in Albany NY, so mil would go out every year to visit. They tried to take her to as many places on the east coast as they could.
The one thing they could count on was MIL getting lost or not showing up untill 2 hours after the appointed meeting time. Leaving them stuck in one place untill she showed up totally oblivious to the inconvience or worry she caused.

Since we had the phones we decided to go ride BTMRR. Not a smart move on my part. that train caused kinks in my neck and back that would give my chiropractor nightmares.

As we were headed to POTC we ran into her. She looked like she had really enjoyed her time alone just exploring and she was wearing her own Hannah Montana hat, causing Bailie to be mortified. She didn't think her Grandma should be wearing one. Teens are so fun and easy to embarrss!:rotfl2:

After POTC MIL and Hunter had a little fun...

They were having alot of fun and was one of those :wizard: moments.

Ethan, Evan & I staked out our favortie spectro viewing spot while everyone else went to get dinner.

It was so freaking cold!!! Which made just sitting there seem longer than normal. And of course about 5 minutes before the parade started we were being smashed and stepped on by people who thought that we should give them our spots we had been at for almost an hour.

We always try to smoosh together so other's can get a good place but it really ticks me when someone just shoves their way in.:headache: I guess it's just part of disney parades.

The parade was only about half as long as usual, most likely because of the freezing temp. Disney didn't want a bunch of frozen parade goers, I guess. Actually, I've never been so glad to see the end of a parade before!

We were all at the "teeth chattering" stage and just wanted to get warm. On the way out we stopped for a few pics.

yes, he is. His childhood is something that could be made into a Lifetime movie....pretty close to hell. Instead of being resentfull, he took those lessons and learned how to be a better person. She is very lucky to have him. Sadly 2 of her 4 sons have practically nothing to do with her.

:rotfl: Your a good son DJ. Just think, one day you will get to do this stuff to your kids. :rotfl:

if he does, he's going in a home.

My gosh, I can't imagine being that cold at Disney! We typically melt down there! How funny MIL with a Hannah Montana hat....:lmao:
Again I must say, you are a saint!

I love all these pix...especially of each kid in front of the castle.

You have one bad incident with MIL and then you capture something magical with her...at least there's some pixie dust:thumbsup2

hunter's fighting with handcuffs on....no fair!

And of course about 5 minutes before the parade started we were being smashed and stepped on by people who thought that we should give them our spots we had been at for almost an hour.

don't you just love that??? i think you should have to take and pass a common courtesy class before you're allowed to go to disney world.

So glad you finally ran into MIL at POTC! :scared: I love the pictures of her sword fighting with Hunter!

I can tell you were all freezing just looking at the photos! Brrrr!

What a relief you finally ran into your MIL!

Your kids look so cold!!! What was the temp the week you were there?

I'm glad you found the future Mrs. Eeeyore finally! I have to say that I think it's awesome that she was sword-fighting with Hunter - that's a cool thing for a grandma to do IMO :goodvibes You all look soooooooo cold :hyper:

yeah, it was really funny.;)

boy do I have stories.....I'll just have to think of them.

She would freak out at everything....we arrived 2 days earlier than the rest of my family...they booked 1 night at the AK...when they arrived to check in they were informed they were family of the day and got upgraded to a 2 br suite!:banana: Right?? well my mother was crying when I got to the room because things weren't going according to plans and she didn't know why she was flipping out. :sad2: This was a beautiful suite!!!

We were supposed to all meet at the MK in the morning to spend all day with the family and I got a call from my sister that morning saying my mom wouldn't come out of the room...she was crying non stop and didn't want to deal with MK. Basically my mom spent the whole time in the room....where people took turns staying with her until my dad had had enough and left with her. In her defense we've just found out she has Parkinson's so maybe that had something to do with it. ? . There's a ton of more stories but that's just an example of some of them.
