Ok. My side of the story. There are times in a guy's life that he must bend to the .... hang on. Not correct. When Cherie shows interest in something and it's a "gotta make it happen Kodak moment," I try to make it happen. In this case, I knew Cherie fell in love with that particular figurine by her facial expression, the way she gingerly touched it (a "my precious" moment), and the huge inhale of air followed by "Hey Deeg. Look at this!!!" What can I do? The time and place were correct. I wasn't going to let a "he needs to get you a new ring" moment pass me by again.

For those of you who don't know, when Cherie and I went to DW the first time on our own, we went to see the princesses and take pictures. As we approached Aurora, she saw Cherie's ring, asked how long we were married, and suggested I get her a new ring. Unbeknownst to her and Aurora, in our room at POP, I had a new ring I was going to give Cherie at DW, I was just waiting for the right moment. The problem was the ring was still at the resort, not in my hand.A perfect moment wasted.
So, short story long, I try not to miss those moments anymore. So far I seem to be batting 1000 on that level.![]()
You can always tell what bailie is feeling....she hasn't learned the art of smiling even tho you want to strangle someone....I guess that's something that comes with motherhood.I'm so glad you got the figurine! I want one too!! Rhino looks fun (not so much Bolt though). Bailee's expression is priceless!
Let's not give D.Jay's ego too much of a boost, he won't be able to fit through the door!Wowww Impressive!!! Do you give husband lessons???
Bolt wasn't out when we were there last....I'm looking forward to being able to meet them...my kids love that show.
I know.....I picked good, considering I got married when I was 18! Yikes, I will lock bailie in a closet if she decides to get married right out of high school!Wow, Cherie. You have an awesome husband.
Me too! It would have been great to get together again, I'll probably be down sometime this summer too!Love the pictures. I am sorry I missed you when you were in Utah.

Good dude husband: Yep
Awesome update: You betcha!![]()
Has this turned into a D.Jay love fest???Awww,Cherie, give him a kiss from all of us! His mother has really done a lot right! (So, give her a kiss too!).
uhoh....I can't have her finishing before me!!Jenny has started her trip. Better hurry or she's going to pass you up.![]()
Cherie, you are NOT shaped like the rodent! Great update - loved the light sabre moment.
Peed on costume -
DJay, how sweet and attentive you are!![]()
Awwwwwwwww that is soo sweet. Even though you didn't have the ring it still gave me chills when I read it. Did you give it to her that night?
oh no! that's so sad! That meal sounds hilarious, your kids are also now at the perfect age to actually get it, when we went one of mine ended up crying because they thought they were really going to get told off![]()
Having a good "cousin" makes a big difference! We went her in 2002 and middle child was in the 8th grade. She got picked on the most. We're going back next month. I hope we get a good "cousin" like you did.
I haven't been to sci fi yet. It just doesn't seem worthy of one of my precious ddp credits. That looked/sounded like sooooooooooo much fun!I wish I could fit that restaurant into our list, but dh has asked for Sci Fi for our DHS day

That looks so much fun!!! I'm very curious to see what your next entry is about!
My kids like to do things to provoke our server....elbows on the table, flying missles made of paper.....basically anything to get attention.Oh I would love to get a server like him!! The last time we were there we had an "ok" server...not nearly as good as you described here!
Great report!!
It was great!Sassy elbows and chicken potpie with whipped cream and sprinkles??? I LOVE IT!!!This is the best time at 50's that I have read about!
Bringing family with you has it's good and bad points. So don't feel too sad!We absolutely love 50's. Looks like MIL had a great first experience. *SIGH* Oh how I wish some family would come with us so we can play "host/hostess" and show them a good time in our favorite places.
yes, you should! In all of my trips to Disney World I still have not eaten at that restaurant. It's going to have to go on the list for our next trip.
My sides hurt from laughing so hard when he brought that dessert out and plopped it in front of her! I only wish I had gotten a picture of her face when she first realized what it was!How funny! The waiter really got Bailie with that awful "dessert"! I would love to go there next trip, but I don't think our friends' little girl would do too well with the teasing--maybe we'll have to split up that day from their family!![]()
We have never been to 50's Prime Time. It looks and sounds like a lot of fun. DH is super shy so I don't know if I could get him to go.
