As a direct member does this bother you or the more the merrier?

Starting May 14, Annual Passholders will be able to
enjoy an Annual Passholder Lounge as part of
V.I.Passholder Days!

This year, the lounge will be opening in the Morocco
Pavilion, inside Restaurant Marrakesh. It will be
open daily from 11am to 7pm, and you might even see
characters while you're there!

V.l.Passholder Days will also bring perks like additional
discounts to Passholders, a new Passholder magnet
Passholder-exclusive snacks, and special photo ops!

The lounge will be open from May 14-July 13, so it's
time to start making plans to get to EPCOT!

I'm confused, why would it bother me that APs also get a lounge in Epcot? This is not the same place as the DVC lounge. They offered this same perk to APs last year, just FYI. So does it bother me that WDW is making their APs feel appreciated? No.
Nothing to be confused about, I am aware they offered it last year, this is a forum for discussing opinions and whats coming.

Like I stated I was just wondering how direct members felt about it, many of them are AP holders too and some are not, I'm not saying it's good or bad and I was sharing what it looked like as well.

Before I bought DVC, I was (still am) an AP holder for 23 years. Whenever there was an AP lounge available or announced, I was going! It was a welcome break, especially at Epcot during the summer, and I felt special going into a lounge for AP folks where there was cold air and maybe some free drinks (never seemed to be enough places to sit though). Either way, I was happy to get in there and it would be hypocritical to feel otherwise now that I own DVC too. So, the more the merrier!

I also think AP holders are underappreciated by Disney, so the addition of new lounge space looks like a step in the right direction to me.

If they were using the DVC lounge I wouldn't be okay with it. But as far as I am aware its a completely separate space, so if I were there and was only allotting time to go to one lounge I would go to the DVC lounge and not the AP lounge since the AP lounge will for sure be more busy.

I have never been to an AP only lounge at Disney world so I am excited! I have been to the AP magic key terrace at disneyland so this one is exciting to me, especially cuz this one has some free stuff. Even if I was direct, I'd be happy about it too! Darn i just realized I won't even be there on time for it, im thinking I should buy my annual pass earlier now🤣🤣

That was my next question is did anyone go last year and how crazy was it lol they need APMB, AP Magic Beyond!

Any bit of shade & cool air for any guest is a welcomed option from May-Sept at WDW. For some (& service animals) it's becoming a necessity.
I'm a DVC owner but not technically a "member" & haven't renewed APs for several years.
But I'm glad more guests will have this option during WDW summer days. :earsgirl:
