Artscow Cosmetic Bags - 3 for $8 shipped

I also have just recently found out about ArtsCow. I ordered just plain 4x6 prints(free) just to check the quality, took almost 4 weeks to get them. My friend that told me about the site said it took 6-8 weeks to get her cosmetic bag BUT that was during a free shipping promotion. I just placed another order and paid almost $25 in shipping (ungodly, I know) so I'm hoping it will be quicker.

I searched Google images, then narrowed it down by image size.

I don't see how those bags (they look great) would not be considered a violation of copy right laws.

None of the images had a copyright on them. Plus I'm just using them for personal use -- I'm not selling them or trying to make a profit. I'm also not claiming them as mine. I thought that's what copyright was mostly about?

Honestly it didn't even cross my mind when I made them...

Just a heads up about Artscow. I've used them twice now, and the quality of the items is just fine. But if you're ordering them for gifts, plan far far ahead. I had ordered quite a few things for Christmas gifts last year at the end of November. I ended up getting the order sometime around the middle of January. Everything ships from Asia, so it takes longer to begin with.

I don't know if it was just out of the ordinary, but while I've been happy with the product, I was NOT at all happy with the snails pace of production/shipping.

I remember people posting last year that it took a long time to get their items. I think there was some deal with photo ornaments last year. I remember people saying they didn't arrive by Christmas.
The company is based in Hong Kong.

I want to order my dd some stuff but the background i had was to small. Plus it took me a long time to play with it. DD is into purple leopard- purple background with black spots. I want to order a regular dog tag, heart dog tag, make up bag (for her stuff she's not into make up) a mouse pad for me. Anyone know where I can find a leopard or cheetah print with purple background and black spot if so please e-mail me at

I remember reading that orders can be rejected for copyright issues, unfortunately, I don't remember who said it.

I use artscow all the time and must say that yes, it does take a long time to get your items, sometimes 3 weeks after production has completed. They are coming from China and have to go through all the necessary checks and customs...especially now with the packages being looked over more carefully, I'd expect even more a delay.

Thank you so much! I just ordered 5 bags, 1 for each of my bridesmaids (and the bride too, of course ) as part of their bridesmaids gifts for my wedding next August. The total was $81 before the coupon - I only paid $16 total for the large bags! Awesome!

We went to Hawaii this past summer for a Make A Wish trip for our youngest. I thought that this would be a great way for them to remember the trip. The two oldest (24yo an 21yo) will use it for make-up and it will be a perfect size to keep our youngest DD's hearing aids in when she's not wearing them.

Now the hard part is trying to pick the pictures.

I think that I'll do one from the dolphin swim and one of Hanauma Bay for DD#3.

DD# 2 is a huge history buff so I'll do one from Pearl Harbor and maybe one from her surf lesson.

DD# 1 will probably be one from the Dole Plantation and maybe one from Hanauma Bay as well.

So many choices to make!

I've looked for scrap paper with those colors and no luck at my michaels and joann's. It's a great Idea though.
I'll have to keep looking or go with the zebra design they have.

I am having so much trouble figuring out how to design these. I have done the ornaments a couple of years ago, and had no problem, but I can't seem to understand how to do these bags. I'm using their design download, but it never looks good. I'm getting really frustrated with this. I wanted to give one to my DD as a surprise, but I don't think I will be able to do it.

I'm a lil confused. I have the background i want . How to I add a border around my picture? How do i get more kits-do i need to buy those? Theres a star embelishments I want to use- is there anyway to change the color from gold to yellow??

Can more then one code be used or do i need to order seperatly?
