Considering this for our upcoming trip.

Anyone have reviews or pics to share? And any opinions on whether it would be okay to take a child (dd5) to? She's a pretty well-behaved kid, but she IS only five.... will she be out of place?

It's been 7 years since we were there, so my memory's not so good. My dd was only 4 and she was fine there. They had a really nice dessert for her. IIRC, there was a scoop of ice cream, and also a picture of Mickey made from white chocolate, then some colored frostings that she could use to "paint" her Mickey chocolate. I don't remember what any of us ate, but I remember we liked it a lot.

Largely considering it for a dinner after Animal Kingdom, for these reasons:

(a) We're staying at WL... so it'd be easy to just leave AK whenever we're done and head back to our resort. If we get done early and have down time before dinner, we'd already be at our "home" resort and could swim, chill out, etc.

(b) It'd be easy to change clothes before dinner after a hot, sweaty day in AK.

(c) Don't have to mess with extra transportation (as opposed to if we go to Boma instead, which is also in the running).

(d) Kid's meal looks decent--real chicken, mashed potatoes, that white chocolate Mickey puzzled dessert--not the same old mac n cheese and nuggets.

(e) Seems like a quiet, relaxing place to eat after the hustle of the parks.

Don't get me wrong, the food looks good too. And we could easily accomplish most of the above by going to WCC instead... but the menu at AP appeals to me more. So it's not that food is no consideration, it's just not what's pushing it to the forefront of consideration.

Anyway. Given all the above desires (no messy transportation issues, quiet, relaxing after park, minimizing bus time, decent kid's meal)--does AP make sense?

Or should we suck it up and go to Boma and just deal with the extra transport, no easy way to change before dinner, and having to "hang around" at AK or at AKL itself if we finish the park before our ADR time?

So confused.

(FYI we've never been to WDW before. Well, I have 15 years ago, but not onsite, didn't do TS. Dh and dd have never been.)

I've posted other reviews over the years. Artist's Point has gone way downhill. It used to be my favorite, buit I've seem it gradually decline. It's been about a year since I've been there, and the service was so bad, that I don't know if I'll ever return. The bad service was topped off with a confrontational chef storming out of the kitchen and yelling at us. Yes, yelling. Uh dude.. how many times do I have to tell you not to put anything on the plate that has dairy in it? Six, apparently.

The food used to be great, but has been reduced to average (even for those of us without dairy allergies).

Unless you're shooting for complete convenience, I'd recommend against it.

Of course, it's been a year.
