I've never been and was thinking about going on my next trip, has anybody ever been. I never see it on the boards, good or bad, nobody talks about it. If someone has ever been there give me scoop on the place. What did you get? Did you like it? Is it nice insde? How is the staff? Is there a long wait for the food? Thanks for any help.

Artist Point is a favorite for many here on the disboards and there is rarely anything negative said about it. It's got a Pacific Northwest menu, specialties are buffalo and salmon. The decor is rustic, the views of the woods and stream are spectacular.

It also tends to be one of the quieter restaurants at WDW; the tables are spaced far enough apart that you don't feel like you are dining with your neighbors.

I think the food is good, not great. I did not care for the mushroom soup that so many rave on and on about. The buffalo was pretty good. I also tried the salmon once but I found I'm not a salmon fan. I've had the berry cobbler the last two times and do enjoy that.

The salmon that I ate there a few weeks ago was some of the best I have ever had. Good wine list, great service.

Try Artist Point it's a very good restaurant. I got the salmon and loved it. One of my friends got the porkchops and they were yummy. Everyone else got the steak it was just OK.

My only complaint was our waitress.

I give the Artist's point 2 thumbs up :yay:

GF and I shared the Braised Penn Cove Mussels for an appetizer, she wanted to order more and just have those for dinner, oh.. our waiter also brought us more dipping bread 'yummy'

GF had the Grilled Beef Tenderloin
I had the Grilled Buffalo Striploin - both were top notch

GF is a wine drinker and the waiter brought her a little sample of 2 wines, she wanted both bottles :)

Atmosphere is very relaxed and quiet with a good view of the geyser and lake

I'm glad to here some good news about the choice I made to try it, I'm also glad to hear there is actually a pretty quiet place other than V&A. Thanks guys, Disers are the best.

We went last year. The restraunt was pretty dead. I think there were about 5 other tables. Matt had steak of some sort, he was not impressed. I had the salmon. It was yummy!!! Dessert was great. Staff was accomodating. At first they had us sat in too much and since it was so dead I asked to be moved. They seemed fine with it and moved us to a window. It was very pretty!

Artist Point is great, we have been there a few times. The food, service and atmosphere are top notch! I had the Buffalo each time and it was excellent!

I would like to eat there but I am not a big fish eater or game eater:confused3. I am up here In Washington and sorry,Buffalo and Boar Is as rare as as It Is In Flordia. I see it In some supermarket but Its treated just like kobe beef. Maybe Its more avalble In the midwest maybe?. But AP looks so Beautfull with Its surroundings It would be there whispering pines I am more use to eating that typ of food.

We are dining here for the first time in March. Glad to see good reviews. We switched from Jiko to AP mainly because we were worried about our DD and food choices.

We love Artist Point. Here's some pics of what we've had there, although the menu does change:

Duck Confit with Duck Prosciutto, Arugula, and Pear (perfectly flavored and crispy):
