I wish I had taken pictures of this incredible meal!
Wonderful warm bread and butter was brought out right away
Started with the cheese plate and a salad
my husband could not stop raving about how perfectly dressed the salad was. My cheese was excellent as well.
I had the filet. This was BY FAR the most wonderful steak I have ever eaten. It came with a blue cheese fritter - basically a very lightly battered and fried ball of blue cheese. I had the tiniest bite of fritter for each bite of the beef, and it was PERFECT. Came with sauteed spinach and fingerling potatoes, both were good. It is important to note that there was not a salt or pepper shaker to be found on the table, nor was it needed for this steak. I am someone who normally uses salt liberally on medium rare beef, and this was perfect without the salt. I had the filet at Narcoosees last year for our "special night out", and this steak made that one look like it came from the Golden Corral or Sizzler.
My darling hubby had the duck. He enjoyed it immensely. I tried it, had a bit of an Asian flair, the sauce being a bit sweet and having a hit of ginger maybe? Also came with some sticky rice and cucumber salad, which was great too.
We tried a side of their tillamook macaroni and cheese with maytag crust. This was the only part of the meal that did not live up to my expectations. I was expecting a sharper, tangier taste that did not materialize. This dish was mild enough to serve to a very young child, and I did not taste even a hint of the blue cheese...
We both had the chocolate cheesecake for dessert. The grand mariner mousse makes this dish. Without it, the chocolate was overpowering, but when I began combining the flavors, it was perfect!
I hope this review encourages you to try Artist Point if it is on your list of possibles. I felt it was a MUCH better use of 2TS than Narcoosee was the year before.
Glad to answer questions.......
