I'm usually just a lurker here since there isn't much to post on in terms of hyperacusis, but I just had to post this link:

The article is called "Don't wait in long lines like an idiot at Disney," and it describes the GAC and even includes a scan. It skirts the line of appropriateness, but with "advice" like:

"Okay, now you are probably thinking, “How do I get one of these magic, time saving cards?”.....Although some people do bring a note as some sort of proof. The cast members are responsible for giving out these cards, and they use their own best judgement, but there is no verification, who’s to say that your doctor wrote a note or your teenage son?"

It's pretty obvious what they are implying. Readers have posted the following comments:

-thanks for the tip … i’m there next time I go!

-Mary Jane on June 1, 2007 10:53 am Thank you so much, I am going to try this. That is so awesome! Why not exploit this???? People exploit so much other crap, it’s not illegal and the worst that could happen is Disney will say ‘no’. ANYTHING THAT HELPS WITH THE LINES AT DISNEY IS A +++++, when used in conjunction with FastPass we should be able to see and do so much more!

I didn't see a place to complain to the author, but maybe they need to be blanketed with comments from people who really need the GAC. If you don't want to give out your own email address, use a service like mailinator.com.

I have removed the link. This article is over a month and a half old and there is a good chance that it will die a quiet death. The only two comment about it are also from June 1st.

If people start commenting about it on the site that will make it active and poeple will pay attention to it. Also it really does not give any useful advice and the scan of the GAC is really not readable.
