Arthur Christmas Movie and Elf on the Shelf at home

I didn't see this movie last year, but we do have the Elf on the Shelf at home. Would this movie lead to questions about our elf or just enhance the experience more. Jingle our elf arrives on Thanksgiving and occasionally brings gifts and I was thinking this might be a great gift one morning, but if it will at all take away or add further questions I'll not consider it.

Ooh, that's a great idea! I took my boys to see that movie & we absolutely loved it..it's been almost a year since we saw it but I can't think of anything in that movie that would cause any issues. Loved how they showed how the North Pole was getting high tech & the elfs had iphones! They should be releasing that one pretty soon for the holiday season! We love our Elfs!

I took my kids to see Arthur Christmas over the summer (Regal $1 days) and the elves made us think more along the lines of Prep & Landing. We liked it, but DD kept saying did they steal that idea from Disney?

The tv show about The Elf on teh Shelf that came out last year was the one I was more concerned about.

Thanks so much for all the answers. The movie comes out November 6. I wasn't worried about it adding to the experience, but more worried about it taking away what our Elf does. Our Elf has been around probably 7 years, and I think I only have one left that believes, but the middle one is not admitting to not believing yet.
