Art supplies for children

Santa will be bringing DS an art desk for Christmas. DS will be 2 1/2. I want to fill it up with all kinds of art supplies...I've made a list of things, but wanted to ask the dis to see if there's anything I'm forgetting that he might enjoy using. I've been trying to buy one or two things every time I go to the store so it doesn't hit me all at once. Thanks!

Most of all, you need to have a place for him to do all he wants to do. And a place to show his masterpieces, cause everything he does, he'll probably want you to display.

My DS (3) loves to paint, so I bought him the Crayola Wonder (I think that is what it is called) paints and paper and also the markers. Those are the kind that only work on that paper, and not anywhere else. This will make both of us happy, he gets to paint more, and I don't have to worry about my walls, couch, carpet, etc. Toys R Us had a buy one get one free sale earlier on these which made it a great deal, I have seen them twice on sale, so maybe they will do it again!

We have some of the color wonder stuff, too...DS likes to DIG his fingers in the paint so it doesn't last us very long! lol! I forgot to add that stuff to my list!


Serena...I have tons of fridge space for DS's art exhibits.

Sidewalk Chalk is the BEST!! You can practice colors, numbers, letters, and the rain will wash it away. No need to worry about your house being destroyed.
