Art of Animation VS All Star Movies

I’m sure this has been asked before but I have to ask:

We are currently booked at All Star Movies for October (we stayed in December in Mighty Ducks section). I’m looking at swapping to Art of Animation (Little Mermaid section) because I feel like the resort is so much more themed, on Skyliner route, and just more “magic” than ASM. It’s about $700 more than ASM.

Should I swap or not? Money isn’t really an issue. We do not like the theme of pop century. It’s 2 adults and a 9 year old girl. What are some pros and cons?

With money being no issue-AoA hands down.

It has 2 MAJOR things the All-Stars don't have:
Disney Skyliner
Hourglass Lake

Even if money were no issue I wouldn't spend that much more for AOA. Little mermaid is just a value building. Outside hallways, no different decor and the furthest from the front. The sky liner isn't worth that much more.

We did not enjoy the walk from the LM rooms to the main building. Even if you’re not in the furthest out building, it’s still a heck of a trek.

I would only switch if you do a suite at AoA. Otherwise you will have a hike to get to the main building and all the amenities.

The only real difference between POP and AofA is the theming, and we don't believe that is worth an extra 700, especially since the walk from the room to the main building and Skyliner for LM will likely be long, plus the food court at AofA has been dumbed down to be almost identical to every other value resort. Maybe reconsider POP.

If money is not an issue, stay Moderate or Deluxe. You could stay at the hub of the Skyliner or on the Monorail route which would be super fun.

Skyliner is huge I’d take art of animation any day. Be prepared to walk a bit more but overall time savings is better if walking is no issue for your group. There is nothing worse than waiting in all star bus lines after a long day at park — skyliner bypasses this for 2 of the parks.

The skyliner is fantastic in my opinion but the LM walk is a bit long, not horrendous but POP is much more walking friendly. We do split stays this year it will be POP/Poly, we choose POP for skyliner and ease of resort.
