Movies is definitely more compact than Art of Animation. We were surprised by the distance of the Little Mermaid rooms from the lobby and transportation. If you're going with the suites at AoA, those are fairly close. Both can be a little on the loud side.

The Little Mermaid rooms at AoA are a bit of a distance from the main building. But it also has a good sized pool that didn't seem too crowded if that is important for your teen

Are pools heated? She loves hot tubs because she has spastic quadriplegic cp and those are great for her muscles. But non of these resorts have hot tubs. Are pools at least heated, will we even be able to swim? Dec 1 vacation.

All Disney pools are heated to about 84 degrees.

I haven't been tO All Star Movies since May, 2010. Never stayed at AOA. I have been reading these disboard's for a while. The next trip we take, I'm planning on booking All Star Movies and requesting the Mighty Ducks section. It's supposed to be at the far side of the Movies resort, but from what I'm reading, should be a very short walk to Music. Readings suggest walking there for food, buses and pools.

You might want to try asking this question on the DISabilities section. I've always gotten great info over there when I had questions about best accommodating some of my son's special needs.

I think a 2-yr-old will enjoy either option.

Close to transportation - I'd go with ASMovies over AoA, unless you are considering a suite at AoA (I'm assuming a Little Mermaid room since you are comparing with Movies)

Noise levels are mostly dependent on your neighbors -- sometimes they are loud, sometimes not, regardless of which resort. Avoid a "pool view" room, and an upper floor might help because there is nobody above you.

As mentioned, the pools are all heated. No value resort will have a hot tub. I believe the main pool at AoA has a zero-entry (walk in) if that is helpful for your daughter; pool at Movies will have a lift.

Enjoy your vacation!
