Yeah, so am I. I mean why would someone presume what is or isn't too much for someone elses family?

OP so glad your DH stood up and said something and things are resolved. There's no reason whatsoever for you to have to justify what you spend or the vacations you took.

I'm glad it's resolved too. Now that your DH has said no, he might come to like it and will tell them no to other "demands". Something tells me if his siblings are this "creative" about a Christmas gift (and your money), they might be a tad overbearing in other areas.
