Arriving Thanksgiving night -- need reliable car service

We are arriving about 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving night and were considering a car service as rentals in that time period are outrageous. Problem #1 we need the grocery stop. Will anything be open that late on Thanksgiving. Problem #2 Scared of using a car service. They probobly don't have many people working that day or many who call out sick. I don't want to get stranded. Any advice?

Prior to 9/11, we used to fly in on Thanksgiving day for a Disney cruise every year (we do it on Weds. now). We always used Happy Limo and had no problems at all...they were right on time. We use a convenience store as our grocery stop, so there's never been a problem with it being open. But I'm sure if you express your concern when making a reservation, they could recommend a store that will be open. Since it's such a touristy area, I'm sure there will be something. Good luck! We'll be travelling again this year on Weds., just before you...already have the towncar ressie made.

If you still might consider a rental car try : rentacar-usa.com . I'm also arriving on Thanksgiving day and they gave me a great rate. $294 for 10 days for an economy. That's INCLUDING all taxes and airport fees...AND insurance! Alamo is located in the airport terminal. Hope this helps.

I am also arriving on Thanksgiving night(11:15pm). Couldn't find a good car rental price so I chose Tiffany Towncar to get us to the hotel. It was hard to make a decision and I hope I'm not sorry. Good luck choosing.
