Arriving early and parking at theme park before check in

I'm a pretty seasoned WDW park goer, but this trip we will be arriving on property before the parks open and have a parking question. We will be arriving around 8am via our own vehicle. Can we go straight to a park using our magicbands to get into the parking lot or will we have to pay to park since we haven't officially checked in at the Fort? I am checked in online and was trying to avoid adding a stop to the Fort beforehand, seeing that we would like to rope drop Animal Kingdom.

You shouldn't have any problem. We've done it during split stays before checking into resort #2.

If you are checked in online, yes you can head over. We have dropped our trailer and headed to the parks, since our site was not ready.
