I will be in Orlando at 8 am and would like to go to the parks early. In case our room isn't ready would it be safe and ok to leave our luggage with bell services and go to the parks ?
Yes. Not sure why you think it could be unsafe and not ok?
BTW if you do online check in you can put in your estimated time of arrival and you can choose that you'd like early check in so there would be a chance that your room is ready when you arrive.
Just as safe and coming from DME, probably safer. I did this on my last trip (I only had a backpack so I rode DME, but the bag wasn't checked). I dropped it at Bell Services and it was in my room when I got there, which I didn't even know they would do. It was easy. Make sure to tip the bag handlers.
If you are arriving early, you may be surprised and your room is ready. I would recommend you check if your room is ready before you hand over your bags to Bell Services. I got there at 9:00 am and found out right after I dropped off my bags that my room was ready! It took about 30 minutes being on property for it to recognize my magic band and send me the text with the room number.
Check in can be as early as 6:30 - 7:00 AM Your room likely will not be ready until sometime later but you are a resort guest from that moment on.
Bell Services is very safe. I too wonder what you are worried about. They tag your luggage and give you the receipt for it.
It will be fine
I'm one who used to worry about leaving our luggage with bell services but there has never been a problem. The luggage we leave with them contains laptops and other electronics, meds, etc. After using bell services for a couple of times a year for years I am no longer concerned.
You will need to call once in your room to have your luggage delivered.
