Hello Fellow Campers!

I have a questions regarding arriving at the fort and departing the fort! I am sure they have already been asked somewhere, but no luck finding the info through the searches.

So, here goes:

Arriving:

What time is check-in?

Can you check-in early if your site is vacant?

If you arrive at the Fort early before check-in time, is there a place for you to park your truck and camper, so that you can go enjoy the parks or eat, then come back at check-in time to go to your site?

Departing:

What time is check-out?

The same question..Can you park somewhere and enjoy the parks, then come back and leave as late as you want?

Thanks for your help!!

Check-in is at 1pm.

Yes, as soon as you arrive, go ahead and go through the drive-through check-in lane and get your resort ID and all other information. If your site is ready early, they will tell you your site number and you can head that direction.

If your site is not ready, you will still get all your information and your parking pass, and resort IDs, then you can go to what is known as the "Overflow Lot" and there is plenty of room to park your rig. You can then proceed to the parks and enjoy your day. Call the phone number on the card you are given after 1pm to find out your site number. Then you can head back, pick up your rig and get set up.

Check out is at 11am. Once you get broken down, you can drive your rig to the overflow lot again and enjoy the parks as late as you would like, just make sure that parking pass is in your window. Then once you return, hop in your rig and start your drive home.

That's how I do the checkout cause I want to spend the afternoon/evening in the parks, then I drive a couple hours North, stop for the night, then drive the rest the next day.

Check in - officially 1pm, but you can check in early. If your site is available, you can set up. If not, you will be given a card with a phone number on it and directed to park in the overflow lot near the kennels. You can go to the parks or whatever, call back later and get your site assignment, just keep your parking permit on the dash.

Check out - 11am, but if you need more time contact the front desk beforehand. You can park in the overflow lot - just keep your parking pass in the window - the pass is good for the whole day of check out.
