Hi, we're arriving @ the All Star Music by 12:00PM on April 10. Since that is peak season and most likely within the next few days the crowds will get bigger should we relax by the pool and have lunch at a resort or should we head straight for a park(which park first)?

Would love to hear suggestions and/or experiences!

19 days to go!

We're getting there on 4/20 at around the same time and after some thought, we decided to use the day to wander around, swim, unpack..etc..Planned a dinner PS at Cape May that day and we might go to Downtown Disney. Of course, it depends on what type of passes you have-we have hoppers that we'd rather use on a full day. Have fun!! Robin

I think it depends on what type of pass you have. If you have an AP or PAP - I would head for Epcot - they are open later and you could get a good 6 - 8 hours in the park...

Hi PrincessKay

We are leaving for Florida on April 11 but are driving down. We will be staying at the Swan for a few nights then Port Orleans Riverside. I was able to get the govenment employee rate for 129. for the Swan but can only get it for a few days, Dixie is 209. for a family of 5. WE ARE SO EXCITED!!

I think it is true it depends on how many days your pass is for but I understand you want to enjoy the resort too. Decisions Decisions.

What ever you do have a great trip.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW BUSY IT IS DURING EASTER WEEK? :) :D

We will be there too!
Going the 12th and also arrive around 12n.
We plan to do Epcot that day.The last time we went we missed world showcase so we will start ther and let te kids sample food from around the world.I plan to head back to settle in and will probably just ave dinner at the resort.
Have fun.Cant wait :)

We're arriving on the 10th but wont get to ASMu until Wed. I thought we would check in and the head to the park around 9am. The rest of our party won't be arriving until 1 so hopefully we can get most of future world done. What do you think? we have a five day parkhopper, will be there until the 18th and won't be going to the parks on friday or sunday.

P.S. What building are you going to be in? I asked for calypso or jazz :D

10 trips so far...
21 days and counting

If you're going to get to the hotel earlier than official check-in, then you might want to pack your swim stuff in a separate bag that you can carry to the pool. You may not be able to get into your room until 4:00 pm :(. You can leave your other bags with the bell hop and then have your swim. I'm not sure what you can do about towels since the All Star resorts do not provide towels at the pools.

Thanks for such wonderful suggestions and I love reading about what eveyone else plans to do upon checkin.......it gives me so much more to plan for.

I've changed my reservation from the All Star Music to the Wyndham Palace (I hope I did the right thing). I think the idea of bringing our swim suit's in a carry on is a great idea. So, if our room isn't ready we'll take a swim and relax by the pool until our room is ready. By then we should be ready for a late lunch/early dinner and we'll shower and go eat in DTD and then walk around DTD. Go to bed early, to start our day going to Magic Kingdom!

Any more advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again!

19 days to go :D !

I arrived a few days earlier of the peak President's Week and I saw a great increase in crowds as President's Week happened. When I arrived I lounged at the pool and didn't go to a park but now wished I had. The difference in a few days during peak is incredible!

It's up to you but you might enjoy half a day at MK a lot more with less crowds. :D

Hey PrincessKay~

As other people have mentioned, it depends on the pass you have. I would use the day to hang out by the pool and relax. I've not been down there in April, but it might take you a while to check in. So I would use it to relax and unwind from the trip.
