Okay, so I am checking in on June 6th, just wanted to make sure that I can wear something casual, like cargo shorts and a polo shirt with flip flops to the check in process?

Also, my dad is driving down with me with a car full of stuff, I assume this is fine and he'll be able to help me unpack stuff in whatever apartment I am assigned to? I have his SUV packed pretty tight with stuff, hope there's room for it all!

You can wear whatever you like during the check in day. Aside from your background check and what not, you won't really be doing anything official or actually seeing any of the Disney managers.

Parents can pretty much come and go as they please that first day so your dad can help you do everything.
