Arrival Day - best way to get to AoA from off site hotel (near DS)?

This is our first trip staying off site. We are only in town for 2.5 days. The day we arrive (May 26) we will check into Wyndam Garden Lake Buena Vista. The map shows it directly across the street from Disney Springs. We are driving down and have a 3 year old. We are planning to go visit Art of Animation (HUGE Cars fan). Would it be easiest to catch a bus from DS to AoA? Or can we drive to AoA and park there for a couple hours (planning on eating at their food court)?

Bus from DS to AoA would be better. Nowadays it’s hard to predict whether cars will be allowed to enter resort parking lots if the people within aren’t staying there, especially resorts near desirable transportation e.g. the Skyliner. Sometimes they get in, sometimes they don’t, so bus is more certain!

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista happens to be on the opposite end of Disney Springs from the bus stops. It looks like it’s about a mile distance from the front of your hotel to the bus stop loop.

As long you’re good with a mile trek in each direction the bus would work. Depending on time of day it could be quite warm and humid.

PS you can drive to DS, park for free in one of the garages, and then catch the bus to AoA. The resort bus loop is in the Town Center section of DS - there’s a nice map if you internet search for DS.

PPS - I do not recommend parking at DS if wanting to go to one of the theme parks. Takes too long due to having to travel to a resort first.
