We will be arriving at the parks on the 18th June at 1.30 (Eurostar Mon-Fri). We're staying at explorers but no express luggage and I can't decided whether to buy a ticket that includes Monday in the parks or not. It's not that much more for a five day than a four day but I wouldn't want to waste money all the same. So, we can either leave the luggage at guest services and go into the park straight away or go to the hotel first. Which would you suggest? I suppose it depends on park times but unfortunately there are no park times available for June yet. Thanks all! xx

I would go into the parks. If you are arriving at 1.30 you could easily get to the Explorers, check in and get back to the parks within about an hour. The studios will either close at 6pm or 7pm and Disneyland Park will at least be open until 8pm but probably later.

You will get lost done if you want in that time or you could just pop in and soak up the atmosphere or watch the parade. We have just gone into the park for the last hour as I couldn't be so close to Disney and not go.

Have you looked into buying Annual passes as they might work out cheaper than the park tickets?

Cheapest I found 4 day hopper passes for was £86, a Fantasy Annual Pass works out at £80 with the 10% discount you can obtain by getting a sponsor. The Fantasy Passport does have blackout days, these are:

2007 :
8 et 30 avril
7, 17, 18, 27 mai
13 au 17 août inclus
28 au 31 octobre inclus
1 et 2 novembre
26 au 30 décembre inclus

2008:
23 mars
14 au 20 avril inclus
2, 9, et 11 mai inclus
du 11 au 15 août inclus
le 30 et 31 août
26 au 31 octobre inclus
26 au 30 décembre inclus

So, none in June

As you say, it depends how late the parks are open, but I would go if Disneyland Park is open until 8, though I suspect it may be open til later...I would go to the hotel, dump your stuff in your room (your room should be ready I think) and refresh a little bit, then head in about half 2 - 5 and a half hours at least to acquaint yourselves with the park, not bad!

I'm with everyone else :goodvibes If we were there that earlier we'd drop off bags and be right in the park :)

Same here, just get an AP it'll give you an excuse to go back!:yay:

Surely one of the problems with going straight to the park is that you might not get much of a choice for breakfast time? Don't you generally have to book this when you check in?

Hey everyone
Brief question
can anyone give me a link to check out the annual pass?
I am going to DLP on June 13th-June 17th
Prob staying at Cheyenne
Also is there anyother way of booking it without booking standard park tickets, and booking annual pass instead?

Hope someone can help and I haven't confused anyone:confused3

There is a link in "The very useful inormation threads" in the stickies at the top.... along with a link to get yourself a sponsor too! :cool1:

From what I can make out there is no simple way of obtaining APs without going to the park itself. Seems like you would have to send off an application for it, and then all they do is send you a voucher anyway. The cost of your day pass is deducted from the AP price though (I hope!)

We plan to buy a day pass online before we go, then trade it in for an AP at the AP office in the park.

hey sorry about this guys, I know this is a little off subject but seems most you you have one and it is disney related!
I was just wondering how do I get a tickertimer?
I" went to the website but says I gotta copy and paste it on something?!?!
I know I sound like I haven't got a clue but could anyone help?
I really want to get my countdown started

Once you have been to the site and set up your 'ticker' you 'copy' the bb code it gives you, then go to your User CP (near the top on the left hand side) and 'paste' it into your signature.

Hope this is enough information to get you sorted?

Maybe useful, a quick update on my AP quest.

I phoned the Passport Annual dudes last night and having been transfered to an English speak guy was advised that he would happily sell me a (some) APs over the phone and post them to England without having to go to the park first.

They will send out a temporary passport which can be used for discounts such as hotels etc.

Slight downside is it has to be activated (or swapped for a real poassport) in the parks inside 30 days of purchase, but still able to be used in that time.

The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and seuggested phoning back within a month of travelling to Paris and he would sell us the passports.

Hope this helps

Crim

dlprees, I would also go to the parks your first day. We stay at the Explorers too, and we usually find that our room is ready so can just dump our luggage in it and head straight back for the parks. On the one occasion it wasn't ready we just had a coffee whilst we waited and still made it back to the parks before 4pm.

Crim, that is excellent news. :goodvibes
