Arrival dates

So I guess this thread is for everyone, as soon as they know, to put when they'll be arriving in Florida. This could help some people plan meet ups and even get roomies.

Though, I do have a question about that... will everyone get the same arrival date or is it staggered?

Your roommates will all be from the same arrival date, generally they are right near you in line! I went down with someone from my home state(we met a few times to see if we were compatible and we are almost like twins in our interests!) and then we did the roommate match to make sure we would be roommates. Our other two roommates, I don't remember seeing them in line, but i know we met one of them when we were waiting for the parking sticker.

The arrival dates are all staggered across the the month of January and February, usually there's two arrival dates a week I believe, but I don't remember if they are each week in the months.

Sorry if I sound confusing... I seriously need to stop replying when i just wake up I'm the morning!

Yup, there are check-in/check out dates for Feb. One thing you'll notice about the program, it's like a revolving door. They are constantly checking-in people. Especially the internationals. They normanly go in groups and go certain times of the year.

Also, once you pay your deposit you will get an email with a few dates to choose from.

Yea, once you get your acceptance email there is a 3 step process to accept the offer. First you read the offer and accpet it. then you put in your deposit for housing, then they send you another email that has a link that will bring you to your dashboard and you have an inviation that will bring you to another page that has a calendar on it and a couple of dates highlighted in blue, you can choose from those.

Does anyone know why the January 9th date has us leaving June 1st? later than all the others?

That may just be the time slot for the apartment you'll be put into. I'm sure that there are some people who would like to stay a few more days or a few less days. I, for one, would love to stay as long as I can.
