Arizona and Utah - end of August- is it too hot?

looking at doing this trip in the end of August but am curious how much the temperature has an impact. I dont want the heat to deter us from getting to do things. any thoughts?

Depends on what kind of temperatures are too hot for you, I assume your talking about Northern AZ which is cooler (expect 80) than south central AZ.

That is still Monsoon season though as an FYI it can really make hiking dangerous depending on what your trying to do.
