Does anyone have pictures of what the dance floor looks like at Ariel's? Also, if anyone has pictures of Ariel's decorated for their wedding, that would be very helpful! Thanks!

This is the only shot that I have

I have a few photos that my consultant sent me if you haven't seen those yet. PM me and I can forward those on!

Ariels is just beautiful. This was our first choice for our wedding - it was between there and ADH. We checked out both places when we were down for our site visit - we had actually been to both places before but wanted the official version. One of our main choices for not choosing Ariels is it is right past the lobby of the Beach Club. We were planning on a 9:00am ceremony and then the pre-reception would start at 10:00. When we went to look at the place there were loads of people waiting to get into the Cape May Cafe breakfast and we had to walk past all these people. Normally this does not bother me but I wanted our reception to be ours alone. Also, I believe it shares the bathroom with the lobby and the Cape May Cafe. I love the sunken dance floor in Ariels though.

I am also planning on a morning reception. Thank you so much for letting me know about the crowds and bathroom situation. I didn't even think about that! I am thinking about doing the St. James room in the Boardwalk instead. Have you ever seen that space? I love the dance hall esp. because I'm near the Jersey shore, but I'm afraid that won't match our pink theme. Do you know if they can close off the stage?

I don't know much about the St. James room. Here are a few photos of the ADH dressed up for our wedding. Our colors were red, white and black.

Arg. Sorry, I can't PM back yet. But, if you send me your email I can forward it on to you. We're doing Ariels for our reception with an art deco style. We originally looked at ADH, but it's just too big for our group!

I really have to put my vote in for Ariel's. We just had our reception there less than 2 weeks ago. Our reception was at 1:30, and even during the week before Christmas I think I only saw 2 people walk by the room. It isnt exactly 'right next to' the lobby or Cape May. It does share a bathroom with Cape May, but not the lobby. The lobby is so far away that if a band were playing there you'd barely hear it at Ariel's...if at all. Its a great location and we felt we had complete privacy for our event. The aquarium seperates the dance area nicely from the entrance. And while your event is going on they shut the big green gate and allow your guests to use the entrance in Martha's Vineyard (the bar area there)...which, btw, doesn't open until 5pm, so no lurkers there either!!! We love Ariel's and wouldn't have changed it at all!

here are a few pics...sorry i dont have more..waiting for Randy!! :)

Definately do not rule out Ariels. It is such a beautiful room and location. Not sure if you are doing a site visit or not but if you do why don't you try to stop by there around the time your reception will be. This way you will see how the crowds are. The room is definately set back from the main lobby but when we went by for our site visit in the morning there were quite a lot of people waiting to get into Cape May Cafe. The entrance to the Cape May Cafe is a distance from Ariels but you need to walk through a hallway - past CMC - to get to Ariels. Once you are there you are secluded from all other guests at the resort and CMC. We loved the sunken dance floor.

Martha's Vineyard is also a beautiful room and very secluded. This is also where we were going to have our pre-reception. It will be closed to other guests. Here is a photo of MV from when we were down there 2 years ago. It is right before you get to Ariels so the location is perfect.
