I used them in 2014 when they were still issuing vouchers instead of e-tickets. And just used them today to purchase e-tickets because my anxiety talking on the phone caused me to delay too long on LMTC tickets
Of UT, GAT, and LMTC, aRes is currently the cheapest after LMTC (which is still the cheapest currently) even with the processing fee by a small amount. And by small, I mean what I just bought from aRes would have been only 95¢ more per person from UT
I purchased a combo ticket for Disneyland and 1 day at Universal and the prices seemed reasonable. We payed $1958 for 4 adults for 3 day park hoppers with Maxpass and 1 day at Universal. All the tickets say go straight to the gate. We leave on Dec. 31, so I don't know if there will be any problems with them...fingers crossed!
Yes, which is why I said "after LMTC". Because LMTC is currently the cheapest if you're getting tickets for 2020 dates. However if you're like me and needed the tickets before January 1, LMTC isn't an option. They're sold out of 5-day PH if you want them prior to January 1 (or so I was told when I called this morning). aRes is the next cheapest option for 5-day PH.
I scanned my ares eticket into the app on my phone and we all got in with just tgat. They took our photos and gave us paper tickets at the gate, but the app worked well - no additional scanning needed. Max pass worked perfectly!!
Right now, people are buying the tickets by phone. LMTC recently underwent an ownership change and the website changes were making ticket purchases problematic. The last few pages in this ongoing thread should have the information you need: LMTC Disneyland tickets no longer available?/UPDATE: Now Available by Phone!.
