We are taking our adult children to Disneyland in April. DH and I have annual passes, but I have to get 5 day parkhoppers for the kids. I want to make sure I will receive actual tickets and not vouchers that they have to take to the booths to exchange, because when we upgraded ours for the AP, it was a pretty long wait.

Do any of these places provide the actual tickets so we don't have to wait in line at the booths to exchange vouchers?

Also, if I were to buy them now, would they still be valid in April? I know that when I ordered tickets from Airmiles (we are in Canada), the expired the same year I bought them in.

Thanks.

Not now! Vouchers now exchange at the entry gate. It takes approx 10 seconds per person because each person does have to write their first name on their ticket.
ETA: actually etickets are what you can take to the gate, not vouchers. Most outfits are selling etickets now.

Check out Last Minute Travel for the best prices. They'll send you an eticket you can take straight to the turnstiles. You have to get a membership, but there's almost always codes for a free one if you google.

We've used aRes Travel before for DL tickets. I would never recommend them to anybody ever. For 2 reasons:
1. if you change your travel dates, you cannot get a refund. Your only option is to exchange the tickets (but this is in the fine print that you read before you purchase the 1st time around). However, if you got a super discounted ticket price the first time around and when you call them to exchange your tickets, that discounted price is no longer available with them, then you have to pay more for the tickets.

2. At least when we used aRes a couple of years ago, we HAD to go to the ticket booth to pick up our actual tickets. I spent 45 min in line at the ticket booth for this. Just to save $5/ticket. It was so not worth it.

According to the aRes website, tickets purchased today are good through end of December 2018.

I just booked and paid for a package with Getawaytoday. We received physical tickets for the parks and the character dining. A voucher for the hotel only

I second Last Minute Travel. Just purchased our 4 day park hoppers. This is the second time we've used them with no problems. You'll pay much less with them than anywhere else. And yes, this time we'll be able to go straight to the turnstile with our vouchers. Apparently I still had a membership from when it was free.

Googling the codes can sometimes be expired and have to try a few,but actually on their site if you fill out a survey it will get you the membership.

I second LMT. I called them to see about tickets and when I hemmed and hawed at membership, they gave me a free one!

Their prices are quite a bit lower than gate price, and also lower than other vendors.

I entered the dates on LMT's website and it tells me there are no Disneyland tickets available for those dates. April 21-28. Any idea why this would be? It's not like I'm booking a hotel or a flight. Just the parkhoppers.

Sometimes the tickets disappear when we're looking. Make sure you're logged in. Try a different browser. It's a weird website quirk others have reported as well.

I am checking prices before getting a membership. Maybe that's why.

The dates don't really mean anything; I think they're mainly there to help them prioritize getting you the tickets. Try putting in dates for November and see what comes up. The tickets should be good through the end of next year.

I had to phone to get them. Here are my concerns:

I thought there was a fee however, and she said I didn't have to sign up to get the tickets.

The confirmation has not come through yet. Have checked the spam filter and there is nothing.

I did go through lastminutetravel.com I phoned the number on their site (1-800-442-0568).

I am hoping there isn't an issue here.
