Ares tickets

I was about to buy some tickets via the Ares site as they have a buy 4 get the 5th day free hopper special.

Long story but my kids need 5 day tickets my husband 1 and me 4. He's taking them one day before I arrive and then he's off .

I will have to buy his single day ticket direct so want to know if he can take the vouchers direct to ticket entrance or will have to exchange at ticket window first ? Also was going to use my Citibank card to pay for them and then it says cards holder must be present.

I am sure people are given vouchers all the time as gifts so how is that ment to work ? I could have him take the girls passports with him ?

With ares tickets, you absolutely must be there in person to pick up the tickets at the ticket booth. Your husband will not be able to pick them up in your place. The only way for him to pick up the tickets will be for him to purchase the tickets on his credit card.

They are really strict about that.

Ok I'll use his card and then can he go straight to the gate ? I wasn't really clear - what have others done ?

With ares tickets, you have to pick up the tickets from the ticket booth first. No going straight to the gate. I found it a huge pain in the neck when we used ares for our tickets 2 yr ago.

Mostly it was a huge pain in the neck because although the lines at the ticket booth weren't that bad, each transaction seemed to take forever. So from the time we entered the ticket booth line to actually having our tickets in hand took about 45 minutes.

I think I have picked them up at a Disney resort hotel, when I was staying there. Not sure if that is an option for you.

Are the prices better than LMT? The last year or so, that has been the best deal I've seen.

I don't know about LMT or what it is , ares it's $325 for 5 day adult pass and $318 for a child .

They are not staying onsite unfortunately.

If there anywhere else to get discounted tickets where u can go straight to gate - was trying avoid having them line up twice as they will be fresh off a plane from Australia !!

It is a membership club, but a quick google search usually will produce a coupon for free membership. Vouchers are emailed (within 24 hours, I think) and taken directly to gate and exchanged for tickets.

I was just coming to write this!! I've used LMT.com for my last 2 trips and it's super easy and cheaper than anywhere else in my experience! Have fun!
