Are your tickets put on your room key when you stay on-site?

No. Your tix will be separate, your room key is like a credit card and for charging to the room, a paper with your hotel dates and name is issued when you check in. It is bigger than a CC, more like the size of a deck of cards. You use this to get in for early entry, too. DL needs to consolidate and give one card, I agree. But, with all these items, plus your ID and a CC, a lanyard is a must!

I have to say, that piece of paper is fairly flimsy for how important it is, so you must guard that thing with your life, do not let it get wet or too wrinkled, lol. I kept mine with my AP in the clear card part of my lanyard (not the pouch), and it still got kind of jacked up and was in rough shape by the last day.
