My brother lives in a whole different world than I do. No car, no license. He can't come visit me. I don't want to go visit in his home. We don't see each other much. Two completely different lives being lived.

We get along fine. My brother is 23 years older and we never really even lived in the same household, so not as close as some siblings.

I have two brothers, both younger. One by 2 years, another by 4 years.
We work together, we don't necessarily spend every holiday together though. I could call them for anything and they could call me for anything. Same with my two SIL's.
My husband has a younger brother - we have same relationship with him & his wife.
I'm not saying we can't argue and disagree - we do. But we resolve it.
I have good brother's, a good brother in law and good sister in law's....except for my husbands sister and her husband. Sadly that relationship is best kept at arms reach.

Me and my two sisters didn't get along as kids (one is 18 months older than me and the other is 4 years younger). Once we became teens, my older sister realized I was standing up to the people who were bullying her at school and we became closer. I became closer with my younger sister when she started high school and I was going through the process of planning my first wedding.

We've been there for each other through marriage, divorces, miscarriages, birth of our children and so many other life events. While we don't see each other often, it's known that any one of us would be there for the others in a heartbeat.
