Are you worried about exposure to electromagnetic radiation?

Are you concerned about electromagnetic radiation at WDW?

  • No, not at all.

  • Somewhat. It's not natural.

  • Yes. EMR fields are not healthy for you.

  • Absolutely! I'm afraid the concentrated RFID and WiFi will cause some currently unknown damage.

  • Other. (because someone said there ALWAYS has to be an "other").

How will the introduction of all those RFID readers and an enhanced WiFi network within the WDW parks and hotels affect YOUR touring plans?

Let us know if you're concerned about it, and how you plan to deal with it!

To be honest, it doesn't even cross my mind as an issue. I am not going to change my vacation plans because of the wifi and RFID exposure.

Consider I sit at home and work around wifi networks every other day of my life, and there is RFID everywhere as well, not in the slightest.

I have an aluminum foil helmet that I plan on wearing to the parks. Thinking about adding some viking horns to go with it.

If your worried about the M<B and WF at WDW, you had better start learning to hide in your homes because similar systems are around us everywhere we go. You also will want to get rid of your tablets, cells, your TV's, etc,etc.etc. All of these give had signals or one type or another.

I think you can get the horns at the Norway pavilion...they're plastic, so you'll need to being some extra luminous foil to line them...:rotfl:

I suppose the OP was asking a serious question from their point of view. That being said...I agree that we are already exposed to so much in our daily lives that I don't think adding wifi and the Magic Bands at WDW is going to make a difference in the grand scheme of things. As more and more places/cities start providing free wifi and as cellular coverage expands, it seems like this is the way that things are going. Short of living somewhere very remote without any modern technology, there is no way to avoid exposure.

Most guests probably are exposed to far more radiation on their plane flight to MCO.

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

We play with iPads while using our iPod, with a iPhone next to us with the TV on(probably a video game), and we are probably eating something processed, that was cooked in the microwave. No I can handle RFID.:3dglasses My brain is fried already.:rotfl2:

I think that you are in more danger of skin cancer from sun exposure than you are from any kind of exposure to the RFID chips.

Hmmm... can I order one in Orange to match my MB?! *hopeful!*

If you are reading this post, you are already getting fried by some radiowhatnot. ;-)

As everyone else already mentioned, we are already exposed to so much radiation from our computers, cell phones, microwaves, etc, etc, etc. Heck, I grew up in a house that had high retention wires in our backyard (my parents still live there), now that I am more worried about.

RFID and wifi are already part of my daily life, so I'm not that worried.

Thank you for reminding me to line my kids' Mickey Ear hats with tinfoil!

Awesome! I have a viking helmet from the Warrior Dash I just finished, maybe I'll line it in tinfoil.
