My DH and DFamily (12 of us) are trying to deside what costumes to wear for the MNSSHP. (ok so I am pushing everyone in the family in this direction)

I think I found a way for the one's who shall remain nameless (DH, DS and DSinL...Oops :rotfl: ) who don't want to dress up.

As DH all most always wears black. I figured that just a good set of fangs should do? maybe for DSinL too.

I will become a Fairy godmother, maybe Mariweather (thou I have dark hair) and the DD and DDBF are thinking about being Pocahantas and Mulan DDGrD and DDGrDBF will be Belle and Lilo, DGrS's are going as a train conductor and incredibles.

Is this to much or are other doing this also (whole family dressing up)? :confused3

What are some of you wearing? please add pic's if you can.
Thanks for the help. We will be there on 30th and 31st OCT in MK for Party

Some suggestions from post:
If someone is looking for a cool costume in a hurry, maybe scrubs or hawiian dancer. If you are looking for great ideas for costumes or will share your great ideas please read or add a post. :thanks: :jumping1:

I'll be dressed as Indiana Jones, GF doesn't know what she's going to be yet. I think it's cool for the adults to dress up too, Halloween isn't just for kids you know! Just make sure your costume isn't too hot, and can fit under a poncho should it downpour like it did on Friday night's MNSSHP.

My only suggestion for Tigger & Pooh would be to avoid the thick plush costumes. They will be very hot. Last year my daughter was a cowgirl riding a pony and the pony was thick plush and she got VERY hot. I made her take off the pony part of the costume because I was worried she would pass out.

This year we are working our costumes around the weather.

Son 5yo....Superman
Daughter 2yo Wonder Woman

Mom and Dad are thinking its gonna be too hot to wear an adult costume...unless someone tells us one where we can wear shorts and a t-shirt....mom and dad will be party poopers.

Well, I asked my DS4 if he would mind if Daddy and I dress up to go trick-or-treating with him this year (he doesn't know he his going to Disney World). He said no he didn't mind and seemed very happy.

My DH and I have medieval outfits left over from when we used dress up for our local sci-fi/fantasy conventions (which we don't attend anymore). So I will have my medieval skirt, chemise w/bodice over it, my Minnetonka boots and my floral head wreath. My DH will have his medival shirt, medieval pants and Minnetonka boots pirate: . Hopefully it won't be too hot on the 31st!

Baby~Lightening McQueen outfit from TDS
Mom and Dad are his pit crew. We got Cars T shirts from TDS and baseball hats with microphone headsets.

DH and I will be going on Sept.22. It's our 1st MNSSHP!!! I will be a fairy and DH hasn't decided yet. I wanted to be Cinderella and Prince Charming, but DH said it's too hot.

I never dress up and DD 10 begs me to every year. I ususally just wear the haloween theamed shirt and socks. Boring I know. We are not doing MNSSHP but are doing haloween treat at DL CA.

I want t Disney themed costume, but do not want to spend over $25. So, I guess I'll try E-bay, as I am not clever enough to make my own.

Thanks for info on weather. We weren't thinking about that. Just talked to DD she and BF now want to go as villianess's and DGrD now want to be Tink.

We talked about the cars outfit for the DGrS's I need to look online at DStore and see what they have.

Thanks

That seems to be the problem with most of the costumes too hot

Maybe Tarzan?

I'm going to dress up in scrubs when we go on 10/24. I'll be wearing a Disney halloween scrub top & black scrub pants (both purchased on eBay)...complete with a stethoscope, pen light, a black writing pen that looks like a syringe and, of course, my Crocs! This way, I can be comfy when I walk around the park if the weather is on the warm side. DH won't be dressing up (not even in a hospital gown to complete my theme...imagine that! :sad2: ...that's good for the other park guests, though :teeth: )

We will also be attending a party on 10/26 and for that one I plan to just wear the t-shirt I'll purchase on the 1st night. This will be our 1st ever MNSSHP and I can't wait. We're almost at the 1 month mark!!!

I was a flapper girl last friday and bf was a ref. I will post a pic when I get home in a bit.

We'll probably wear our Trading Spaces shirts and be home renovators just like we were last year. However, since this will be the first trip for just hubby and me since our only child started college this fall, I'm tempted to just strap some bird's nests on our heads and go as empty nesters!

Bah! I love it! I'm going to pass this one on to my newly empty nested sisiter! Thanks!

Dh & I are not dressing up but we are getting Halloween t-shirts. Actually, I got mine today at Old Navy. I'll have to look at Target for one for DH or just buy one there. As for DS, I'm not sure what we're going to do. He sweats like crazy as it is and I would hate him to be miserable in a costume. DH and I have thought about getting him some Halloween accessories to wear with his Halloween t-shirt. Not a real costume, but somewhat dressed up??? Everything I've looked at is just so thick and hot and it's supposed to be in the 90's this Friday for MNSSHP.

Our three children are dressing up in costume. I was trying to think of ideas for t-shirts for DH and I. Then it struck me  that I could make our own t-shirts and have the 3 children dress up in their halloween outfits a couple of weeks before MNSSHP, I'll take a photo of them all dressed up and that will be the picture on the front of our t-shirts!!! Good yeah? No? :teeth:
