.... what are your tips to make your Adrenaline levels spike up during the event?..... :scared1:

Here are my techniques....

1. I try to make a gap between myself and the person in front of me. Though the TMs rush me to keep behind in the conga line, I try to give myself at least a few feet (hopefully 2 meters) so I won't see those in front getting frightened by the scareactors.

2. I will avoid looking forward when the person in front of me walks into a different room/area of the house. I usually look down at that point or look away...

3. I always walk into a new room looking up or down so if someone is going to scare me, make it a good scare... Many many times when I turn my head to look forward (in a new room of the haunted house) I have scareactors right in front of my face.... and they get me every single time... Love it!

4. Look at the detail! I love touching the walls and seeing what they are made of, the shackles, the props, and usually when I turn to look at these at the other corner of the room... :scared1: .... got the scareactor in my face.

5. Scarezones, I act scared... and for certain I get a scareactor to my face or one of the chainsaw guys... A perplexed face/stare works well too. :lmao:

5. Drinks.... These past years I've noticed that after I've had about 4 vodka tonics... I get jumpy and startled more... :)

Any others?

The last time we were at Universal, they were closing early for HHN. I went to guest services and asked about pricing and whether we would should do it.

The CM said, "Honey, if you have to ask, don't do it".

We took her advice, went to Bice for dinner instead and spent the money we would have spent on HHN on a great bottle of wine.

I do the #1 thing regularly.

For 1 & 5, I also try to go when my friends are on set because....well....they say and or do things to me that cannot necessarily be posted on a public forum. :rolleyes1

For #6, I actually do NOT do this. For some reason, HHN sober is more fun than buzzed/drunk for me. :confused3

One of the other big things is I try to tour houses when the lines are still short (under 10 min). The fewer people in a house/more spaced out the groups, the better the scare quality. I also "allow" myself to be scared. I just go, check stuff out, and have fun if all of a sudden HELLO SCARY MANIAC happens, I get a good laugh.

I'm not that good at letting my guard down and allowing myself to be scared. I am on alert always trying to see what could be coming up ahead. I also stay close to the person in front of me. Even when they are pulsing the line and I am the first, I walk really fast to keep up with the last person from the previous group, lol.

Ooh yes I love a couple of drinks just to take the edge off before I go to HHN - and I also try and leave a gap when walking through the houses and look the "wrong" way so the scareactors can creep up on me :hmghost:

I loooove being scared !

That's too bad as HHN is PHENOMENAL. I really wish the CM had not said that. I think your experience would have been worth it. I have been to Bice for dinner as well and although they were very good, I think you should have experienced HHN for yourself.

I always try to leave a little gap too in the houses. Last year I had a friend with me who was really scared. I had to hold hands with her through every house, lol, but we got a lot of great scares thanks to her.

I knew it! I was pretty sure I wasn´t the only one doing the gap thingy.
