Day 4
Tuesday, February 2nd

I woke up at 6:30 and enjoyed a really nice sunrise over
Bay Lake. I took some photos, (see below) but they really
didn’t come that clear, but it was really beautiful and I had
hopes that it would be a nice day.

The rest of my family woke up shortly after I and we all
dressed and readied for an Animal Kingdom day. I dressed Ava
in her safari Minnie outfit, packed up the stroller with rain gear
and our umbrellas, and we were off to Captain Cooks for a quick
breakfast. We were still stuffed from the wonderful dinner at
Ohana from last night. As we walked from our room to Captain
Cook’s the clouds rolled in and by the time we sat down with
our food, it was pouring rain.

As were eating we discussed heading to the Animal Kingdom
in the rain or changing our plans for the day and try EPCOT
as we thought we would be able to avoid the rain at EPCOT
large pavilions, and I think I read in some guidebook that EPCOT
was the best park in the rain. Not sure if it is true, but we
decided to head to EPCOT.

We got to the TTTC and it stopped raining for a bit and
sun was out for about 5 minutes! We got off the monorail
at EPCOT and it was already raining again...

We enjoyed The Seas with Nemo, Turtle Talk with Crush,
Innoventions and Spaceship Earth.

When we got off Spaceship earth, it was down pouring so
hard that you could see the water jumping up from the ground
it was coming down so hard. We decided to wait out the rain
and play some games in the spaceship earth exit area. We
had fun, but after about 45 minutes we were all done and
it was still raining – hard!

Day 4 continued ....

We decided to head back to the room, get some lunch at the Poly and
give Ava an early nap, hoping the weather would be better this
afternoon. We made a run for the monorail and got really wet.
Luckily Ava stayed dry under her stroller rain cover. We grabbed
a quick lunch at Captain Cooks, headed back to the room and Ava
napped while Anthony and I watched the rain out the window.
We leisurely showered and got ready for the rest of the day and
low and behold when we were ready to leave the room, the rain
stopped and the sun was out!

Yippee—it didn’t last long, as the clouds rolled in again, but
no rain, just clouds and the temperature had warmed up as well.
Yippee – it was finally starting to feel like Florida!!!!

We had no plans for dinner, so we decided to head to the bus
stop and take the 1st bus that came our way. It was the Studios
bus. We arrived at the Studios and the entrance was so
crowded b/c the Move it Shake It Parade was just about to start.
We got a pretty good spot to watch the parade and it was really
cute.

When then headed to Playhouse Disney Live, the Little Mermaid,
and Muppets 3-D.

Then we hit the Backlot tour and finished up with the High School
Musical Pep Rally.

It was a really nice afternoon/early evening – no rain and warmer temperatures. Like I said before we had no plans for dinner, so we
took the boat to the Boardwalk Inn, walked on the boardwalk, did
some shopping and then took a bus to Downtown Disney.

You can see in the above picture at the BWI bus stop that the
SUN is actually shining!!!!

We decided on dinner at the Earl of Sandwich. I am always so
pleased with my food at the Earl and always enjoy it!! We walked
around and shopped, enjoying a rain free evening.

Here is Ava waiting for the bus with her new Tigger and Pooh
dolls.

We took a bus back to the Poly around 10pm and headed straight
to bed! It was a wonderful, rainy and sunny day!

What weather would tomorrow bring? Sun, rain... not sure, but
we had plans for another glitterific day at the Magic Kingdom.

Stay tuned…..:happytv:
