Just taking a little poll!!! Are you shopping on Black Friday and if yes where are you going????

I dont plan to kill myself or wait in line all night... or all day Thanksgiving depending on where you are going :) I am still waiting for a few ads to be posted so far I am not thrilled with the ads... BUT that being said I promised my daughter we would go so we are going to go check out a few places!!!

Bass Pro - Really want some $10 Fleeces - Also a nice gift from my brothers whom its hard to find a decent gift around the $10 range which is what I like to spend on them

Best Buy - CupCake Maker - know nothing about them but my daughter loves to make cupcakes but trying to figure out how I can get one for her if shes with me... hmmmmmm??? Plus going to try for some of the cheepo Blu Rays and Dvds for gifts and just for us...

Those are the main ones I am trying for - I think I am going to stay away from Walmart that day at least in the morning... I wasnt impressed with thier sale anyway...

I am with you, I go every year, and I think I have finally talked my mother into going with me.

I usually check all ads and depending on what is on my children's lists will determine where I go but usually I go to Target, Staples, Walmart and K-mart.

I usually start at Target around 6am, then head to Staples (not going here this year) then head to K-mart, then Walmart. I am usually at Walmart by 8am and the mad rush is gone....don't get me wrong they are busy, but not bad at all. I REFUSE to go to Best Buy - you can't get in the door the whole day here.

Also, how old is your DD??? I hope she is at least driving age and can handle herself, I personally would not take a child (under about 16) anywhere on black friday. People are rude and CRAZY driving everywhere.

I am usually home by 10am or 11am....just in time for lunch then a nice nap.

Have fun and good luck this year.

I don't normally go out on BF but I thought I might this year if there was an amazing deal on a 32GB Ipod Touch. Since there isn't I guess I won't be going out again this year either.

I'm going with DD (18) :banana:It's our tradition. However, we don't go near places like Walmart or Target. We head out around 4 a.m.

We hit the malls. DD has to get the new Victoria Secret tote each year.

I'm 90% done with my shopping but I have $1,000 saved for Black Friday to have fun with.:thumbsup2

I am not impressed with the deals either. There is nothing that my kids are asking for in all the ads so IF I go it will be for filler items.

I may not be going this year, with all the stores opening at midnight it may not be much worth my time, cause I am NOT going to go at midnight. We have tv's and laptops so we don't need them.

I usually hit Target, Kohls, and WM (although wm is usually in the afternoon for me, after all the craziness has died down a bit).
However, I'm not overly impressed with the ads this year, and I'm 98% done shopping for my kids anyway. I'd like to get a few things for DH, but hope to do that from my computer if Kohl's sale is online as well. It really depends on Target's ad, too.

So far it seems that JC Penney has the best deals on the items I want: coffeemaker for $9.88 (after $10 rebate), 4 slice toaster $9.88 (after $10 rebate), and a set of cookware for $45. We'll probably decide once all the ads are out but so far we haven't seen anything too great.

I always stop at jc penny's first for my disney snow globe. their prices are a bit steep so I usually cruise the disney store and then head to wal mart or target for the rest of my list
I take all the ads with me and try to price match so I can get as much done as possible in the fewest stores. then I can hit khols or just browse.
I love BF. sure there are lines and rude folks but that is to be expected. I usually get a good laugh at the clueless who gripe about the lines.
Been taking oldest dd since she was 15. Once youngest got about that age she has the option to go too.
We take hot chocolate with us and make a morning of it.

I think this year I'll just head to the mall in the morning. I don't know yet for sure. The BF ad's didn't really impress me so I might not even go to Target. Plus it just doesn't feel right to go stand in line on Thanksgiving night.

I thought the 4-5am openings last year were perfect...

Try getting the cupcake maker from BB online, before you head out shopping with your daughter :)

Just saw that Target is doing Midnight this year! That puts a crimp in my plan. They had a couple items that I may need. I am on the hunt for a 3ds though and have yet to see a deal on that anyplace.

We usually go to Target or Wal-Mart and Family Christian Store. We usually end up going around 4 or 6 pm. The crowds are not there and we can enjoy a mildly hurried shopping expierence. There are a few things I want at Wal-Mart, but my life is not over if they do not have them.

I got my son the 3DS at Target a couple weeks ago. Ordered online for $169, minus 5% red card, minus a $5 coupon, with free shipping and a $25 gift card. That's the best I've seen yet...

Interested in the Mario 3DS bundle at Target's Black Friday? It's $179 with the game.

BTW, I'm probably going to hit Target at midnight. Want to try for the IPod touch 8gb, with $40 gift card, 5% red card, and possibly the 10% coupon. We only want the 8gb, our 16 gb iPad is still rather empty after a year of constant use. And, the iTunes gift cards $25 for $20 isn't bad... Plus, I always up until 1 or 2 for my job, so it's a much better time for me...

DD17 & I like to go in the am around 8:30, get some coffee & see what deals are still left. If stores open at midnight, I'm afraid most will be sold out by then. We hit Target & Kohls because they are close to MIL's house, where we will be visiting. Target is pretty tempting - DS & DD11 would each love a touch & that price puts it in budget. DS would really love the xbox deal but since we have a wii, we're trying to hold off on another gaming system.

Not sure what we will do. I could easily go at midnight but not sure I want to. I like our morning tradition better.

There is actually quite a bit od Disney clothes in the Walmart ad. T-shirts for 2.97, Pjs for under $5, slippers for $5 and then there was some womens fleese for cheap. Oh and kids disney sweatshirts were cheap. We are going to Disney in Jan so I want some more clothes for DS.

Walmart starts at 10pm so might go at 10.

A few things I am interested in at Old Navy but I think I will pass cause it will be crazy.

I also really want to hit Officemax for a $50 printer for hubby a $69 camera (I lost mine :( ) and for american express gift card $100 for $90 but office max isnt open till 6am and not sure if I do Walmart at 10 that I'll want to do office max at 6am...maybe officemax will have online deals.

Walmart is #1 on my list right now.

My son wants Battlefield 3, normally $59.99, and it will be on sale for $28 @ 10 PM on Thanksgiving. $30 saving is worth it to venture forth!

I also wanted to pick up a waffle maker for someone and they have one for less than $5!

I do have a question about BF, though... If I go out and purchase the video game in the next week or so, can I just take my receipt back to Walmart on BF to get the difference? I know the Walmart is advertising a low price guarantee. I didn't know if it covered BF stuff too.

No, I will be getting ready to get on the Auto Train to Disney. BF is nothing compared to two weeks in Disney. Plus I am mostly done with my Christmas shopping.

There are a few things that I would like at Kohl's and Target, but not willing to go that early. Hopefully, we can order them online.
