Great update!
The Poly is such a pretty resort! it feels like you're actually in Hawaii..it looks like the hotel in The Brady Bunch when they visited Hawaii.
And I love looking around the Contemporary, there are such great shops there!

Oooo... the Polynesian! WOOT! LOL @ your brother's decision to take pictures of every CM you encountered. They all seem VERY suspicious hmmm... And sorry you had to wait for your room, that's always the worst part when it comes to Disney trips, waiting for your room to be cleaned and such. :/

I've never been to CBR, but it sounds fun. NOw I haven't stayed at the Polynesian either, but we always go there for Ohana a really nice, good, somewhat character dinner or the Ohana character breakfast which is loads of fun. We always claim disney has the best eggs. But SOunds super fun, way to end off the summer!!!

Same! We stayed there four years ago I think, and my dad wants to stay there this next summer!

Great update! I love the Poly, can't wait to stay there in November. That was a good idea to split stay CBR and Poly, making it a very tropical Disney vacation!
That's too bad your room wasn't ready though! I'm always worried about that when we check in before 3.

I love Ohana for both breakfast and dinner! But I think I like dinner there just a little bit better, I want to go back for dinner again really bad- we had such a good experience last time!

DAY 3

At the Contemporary, the boys went straight for the Arcade while my mom and I went to do some shopping.

I needed a new trip report journal- yes I had gone over 2 days without writing anything down!

I also got some pens

And I immediatly started writing down what happened on Day 1 while it was still semi-fresh in my memory. Let's just say the journal isn't the neatest, after not being in school for over a month, your hand writing starts to become really bad. I had been so used to typing, I never really wrote anything hehe.

The boys finished in the arcade

And they decided to spend their tickets on about 18 pixie sticks.

Which, I'm pretty sure we still have a few grape-flavored ones left... I didn't eat any of them.. I wanted to but once I thought about it I figured it looks really gross. But J and Joe had a ball with them.

With no text from the Poly about our room being ready, we hopped on the monorail for a lunch at our new home resort.

While waiting at the Contemporary's monorail station (lovelovelovelovelovelove that it's indoors and the monorail comes inside)
a CM gave me, J, and Joe monorail collecting cards

Soon at the Polynesian, we headed straight to Captain Cooks

Memories of CC from our July 2009 trip flooded back! We ate here sooooo often.

There was still no text saying our room was ready, so we had to plan to go to a park. Where to? Magic Kingdom was the closest...

Thanks I really like it! Lol actually I used the Jasmine one first, and it probably got used the most but Cinderella was used often too

Well, it's vacation so you know they can eat whatever they want and they're both sticks so I honestly doubt some sticks filled with sugar is going to effect their health anyways haha.

DAY 3

As soon as we sat down on the monorail heading for the Magic Kingdom- we got a text. Our room was ready! With a quick switch in plans, we got off at the Polynesian and went to bell services to get our bags.

We were taken via golf cart- one of the big reasons I love staying Deluxe xD

We were standing right below the monorail- the bottom side of a monorail

We got to our room

The view was nice, but the front desk told us we could move to another room (one that is actually right next door to the room we had in 2009 at the Poly) on Friday. We decided to do just that.

The bell man told us there were three hidden mickeys in the painting on the wall, so we had to find them!
