First of all, what the heck was going on with my typing?! I just saw my own typing errors.
I can only imagine what that man must be going through, but I still think he is in denial big time. Eventually, he needs to accept the fact that she was drunk and high when the accident occured. It's sad all the way around though.
The only way I could see them charging this man is if he knew she was that drunk and knowingly allowed her to transport those kids. But, it seems like he did not know she was drunk. I did hear this morning that he had a previous DUI some time ago. It looks like they are really digging into his past.
I agree with you 100%. I think it really is the grief and shock and stress talking with this guy. I am really suprised he appears to be doing as well as he is. I cannot even IMAGINE what he is going through- in the last week, his life has been turned upside down, his wife is dead, his child is dead, another is in the hospital, and the press keeps badgering him. I think I would be in the looney bin! Grief does crazy things to you..he probably isn't thinking clearly. I am sure someday, it may even be YEARS down the road, he will probably realize that she was drunk and responsible for the accident. No one knows WHY she did it, but she did. That sucks. But I think, right now, in his condition, he probably NEEDS to believe she wasn't at fault just to hold on to the little pieces he has left.
The whole situation is so sad. I hope he isn't charged, he has been through enough already.
