Are You planning a trip to Disneyland in December?

I will be there (solo) Dec 8th-17th. DLH, and MAYBE a night at GCH if I can drag myself away from tradition at DLH. I will try to get a LGMH, but if not just look for a short solo girl lol.

:santa: DD11 and I are making our first trip to Disneyland this Christmas. We're both so excited!

Dec 19th-26th @ HoJos

Dec 18 -20 Hopefully i have never been to Disneyland at christmas time but so look forward to it told my dh that what i want For christmas!

Can't wait, we are leaving late Sunday after my DDs(11) final soccer game and will be there 11/23-11/26 staying at Embassy Suites. We will also be upgrading our 5 day park hoppers to APs on Tuesday, after the MM ;).

I just found this thread. Me and 15 other family members will be hitting up the land on 12/22 and 12/23, staying at Worldmark Anaheim. :cool1::cool1:

Hi Courtney!!

We decided to stay at the PP instead. :santa:

Thanks for doing this for Dawn. :grouphug:

You got it, Melody.

You're so welcome. Thank YOU for being SO awesome! :grouphug:

Yeah, I was MIA for a while. Just kidding. We didn't get AP's this past year and we don't go to DL unless we have them (can't justify the $$), but now with the free birthday and the payment plan we are getting them in Dec.

So I'm baaaaack!! :thumbsup2

I'm glad to see you back and with new APs!!! :thumbsup2

Everybody is UPDATED!!! :dance3: :yay: :cheer2:

How do I find out about the Entertainment Rate?

I'm glad Spacermaid replied to you...I missed this somehow! As I said, you can call them anytime ahead to change your rate (you have to call the hotel directly, not the hotel chain toll free number!) and of course you have to have the card to show at check in. I know you mentioned about getting a discount some other way...can't remember what, but I think the entertainment rate is the cheapest one going. hope you have luck in saving some extra money to spend in the park!! :thumbsup2

:tink:I know it's probably odd going (Solo) during the holidays, but this is a xmas trip, plus a planned relocate session with some real estate agents. I am staying at DLH, an will be solo which will make it a bit sad, but I will find my spirit. If anyone is interested in meeting, and hanging out/riding ride, or seeing shows, or heck a lunch, breakfast, or dinner. Let me know as I have solo everything planned, and done a few dining PS, but can easily add on another. I am doing Goofy's bfast my first morning wed 9th, at 7am. If you would like to contact me, and just say hey want to do a ride, or some xmas xhopping, or hey lets grab some lunch, or see a show please just let me know. I will be happy to give you my cell # it's on 24/7 while I am there.

No, it's not odd. I've found solo holiday trips to DLR and WDW to be wonderful. Solo December trips to DLR and WDW are my norm. Sometimes I've metup with other solo and not-solo visitors, other times enjoyed the company of a friend or extended family members. However, most of my visits are solo and I enjoy them a lot.:mickeyjum

I'm so sorry to be a pain, but we've changed our hotel again. Now instead of Candy Cane Inn from Dec. 9 - 13, we're at Disneyland Hotel.

Thanks for all your work on this!

Just a reminder, the new, updated list is on page 35!!!!

No pain at all! You're updated to the DLH!

Going on a solo trip :scared1:
Dec 11 -14

Woo! How exciting!! You're added to list! What hotel are you staying at?

Staying way off site at a La Quinta by the airport :sad1:

I didn't even know Disneyland was nearby when I booked, I was just looking for somewhere cheap and warm to burn off the last of my vacation days, lol.

I'll put La Quinta on the list. How long will it take you to get to DLR from the hotel?

I'm not quite sure, planning on taking the OCTA bus (43) from the hotel, google says approximately 40 minutes. However, everyone seems to say the buses are no good and I need to rent a car :confused3.

If the bus gets me there in about an hour, I'll be happy :).

I booked a package deal on Orbitz or I would have changed hotels.

DBF and I will be staying at HoJo's for the first time Dec 24-27th! I can't wait to spend Christmas at DLR! :goodvibes

I don't know; I'm not saying the buses are good, but some people have been having HORRIBLE trouble getting into the parking structures lately...depending on when they visit, I've heard reports of 90 minutes to get from when they arrived in the area by car, to the gate. It shouldn't be nearly as bad in the mornings, but even so, I'm not convinced a rental car would save you much time.

If it's just one bus with no transfer and you're not particularly worried about riding on a public bus through what may or may not be the safest neighborhoods, then it sounds like the bus might not be a bad idea. (If people are literally saying the bus may be super-dangerous, though, then I don't know what I'd do. :scared1: )
