I know I am. I was sent to bed the other night by DD at 8:30 p.m. She had a friend over for a sleepover and apparently me playing on Facebook was strange and they didn't like me watching them. I was in another room. Trust me, I wasn't watching them.

They were fine until there was something scary on TV and I was ordered back downstairs.

I am on the PTA board at her Middle School so I am up there a lot.

Being up there at lunch? NOT COOL

Being up there at lunch and bringing her fast food? TOTALLY COOL!

Being in the school during the day? NOT COOL

Being at the school as dismissal so she doesn't have to ride the bus home? TOTALLY COOL

Being around when she has friends over? NOT COOL

Making cookies and popcorn for her and her friends? TOTALLY COOL


But as a general rule, I exist, therefore I annoy.

Oh the drama llama has settled into DD12's life very well since the start of middle school. Who knew a bunch of 6th grades had such important issues in their life.

DH tries so hard not to laugh as she tells me her whoa's for the day - Take Days of our Lives and 90210, combine and you wouldn't touch the life shattering events of the school day that DD and her friends go thru.

I so understand the one minute your cool - yep, i was the one who bought you the Doc Martin boots you wanted (that were on sale for a can't pass up that price) - to the uncool - OMG "you aren't wearing that out to the store with me" look of horror, as I throw my old beat up eeyore fleece sweatshirt on. We were going to get hay bales and pumpkins, I wasn't wearing my good sweatshirt.

I always make sure to go into her room at night, as she's sleeping like the baby that she is to me, kiss her goodnight and remind myself that deep down inside, this is how she truely is. Sweet and angelic....with just a touch of devil horns peeking out.

Basically I wake him up in the morning and whatever else happens from that moment on is my fault. Unless it's a good thing, I don't get any credit for those. Kind of like lovetoscrap, "I breathe, therefore, I ruin."


This is the only thing I remembered from my college philosophy class:

DesCartes: "Cogito Ergo Sum" - "I think, therefore, I am." Or in lovetoscrap's words, "I exist, therefore, I annoy."


If my DS11 thinks it's easy for me to go through my entire day thinking up things to bother him about..he is giving me too much credit. It's a lot of work!

I'm glad someone posted the term, "Drama Llama", I am going to use that from now on. It was getting a little weird calling my boy a "Drama Queen"!

Well out of all honesty, the more I think about it, being sent to bed actually would be a treat. Extra sleep. no one bothering me. just slumber away.

And nope, haven't been sent out of the room either. All I ever recall is hearing, "SSHHH!!!!" which makes me talk louder and longer.
