Well considering the difference in positions between the Leafs and the Wings, even winning in overtime is a huge accomplishment.

You are right but they might blow the 1st draft pick. I heard that Detroit sent their Tim Bits team to play. Just kidding. I know many die hard leaf fans. It takes a while for them to grasp the idea that the trees shed the dead leaf in the winter.

We too enjoyed Hockey Day in Canada, although the Taco in a bag, I found kind of gross.
Actually, the Leafs are practicing at a local outdoor rink tomorrow morning, and my ds7 really wants to go, but his Dad says he can't.
He's quite disappointed !

I liked the profiles, like the story on Matt Stairs. We look forward to Hockey Day every year and it had a great end with my Avs winning.

Actually, it wasn't as crowded as I expected, I think the weather kept people away. I would say that there was no more than a 1,000.
But as cold as it wasn't it wasn't too bad. Although the whole park is frozen, so walking to the rink itself was tricky.

Leafs beating Detroit is always great. Although, because I am such a huge fan, I have to cheer for them to lose, so that we get the best pick we can get

I heard Sundin talking about how the players were worried at the practice cuz it was so cold for all of the kids outside.

All and all though a great day on sat Leafs r now 6-2 on Hockey Day in Canada!!

Actually, when David Miller was leaving, he was chatting to those near the barricades, and he noticed that one person didn't have any gloves or mitts on, so he took his off and gave them to him.
And no, it wasn't a photo op, as he was leaving the park and it was him and his assistant heading to the car.
