If you're looking for a lightweight stroller, you might want to look at "strollers4less.com". They are currently offering free shipping on all items.
Here is the stroller I purchased to donate for the strollerswap:

Also, if you were a fan of the Eddie Bauer model used in the current strollerswap, here it is:

There are pros & cons with both models, but, you can't beat the price--especially if you're looking for something lightweight that you want to hang on to for vacations and such.

I haven't been in the "stroller market" for a few years, but MY WORD!!! those are GREAT prices!!!

Hope a few of you can take advantage! Great idea to post it, goofy4wdw59!

and I would just like to add that we recently purchased a stroller combo from there for a baby gift. they are very easy to work with! The stroller shipped promptly and without flaws! I would certainly buy from them again! Happy Shopping all!

This is a great thread. I AM actually looking for a stroller for my next vacation. The fisher price model is what I had, but after my last trip to disney, it was really squeaking and making other noise a lot. Also, turns sometimes were tough. Which model do you all prefer or does anyone have another to recommend?

I need for for an older child and the umbrella stroller are alittle too low to the ground.

Thanks, Carolyn

I can only tell about the Eddie Bauer one since that's the one we have been using for the past year with the stroller swap. It's a great stroller, easy to manuever, easy to close...push a button on the handle..comfy as you can tell by the way my DS5 is lounging out! It's had every size kid in it from infant to toddler and it was orginally puchased for a 5yr old. Good luck on whatever you decide to purchase. At the prices they are offered I don't think you can go wrong

Is the new stroller going to be limited in age or weight? The EB stroller took the large size kids, but I'm not so sure the new one would. Just a thought.

Actually, I purchased BOTH of these strollers:p--one to donate to a new strollerswap and one to keep.
INHO, both models are very good-especially considering their price and free shipping. I decided to keep the Eddie Bauer model and donate the Fisher Price model--based on how the Eddie Bauer model has held up with the current strollerswap, and, I like how it folds up a little better.
But, there are pros and cons with both models--some will prefer one over an other. Here are the descriptions from the instruction booklets and my comparison:

FISHER PRICE COMFORT LITE LX--Not to exceed 40 lbs, storage for lower basket--8lbs (I think it could hold more). You could put older kids in this one--easier if you take off the removable tray in front (for both models).
INHO, comparing the two--pros for this one are: The wheels are bigger and the stroller rides a little sturdier. Might be a better choice for a younger child. A "comfort fit pad"--lifting the handle up or down on the bottom of the seat. Appears it may more comfortable reclined for napping. Canopy is larger/better coverage. A parent tray on top. The basket underneath is bigger/easier to reach.
The cons are: It's bulkier when folded up (bigger wheels), but it's really not heavier. The seat must reclined for folding up.

EDDIE BAUER--For children up to 40 lbs. Basket holds up to 20lbs. Removable snack tray. Seat pad can be removed for washing. Smaller wheels, feels more lightweight. Easy fold up & stroller stands up by itself.
Pros are that it is easier to fold up and feels less bulky. The cons are that it doesn't feel as sturdy, smaller canopy, seat doesn't recline as far, no parent tray.

Well, you have certainly done your homework : )

I was actually surprised that the old stroller held up as long as it did, with some of the really bigs kids I've seen in it!

Hey! Where was this thread last week? I spent some time searching to find out exactly WHICH Eddie Bauer stroller that was. I figured after looking at all the different kids that were in there, it would be great for my DD5. Tried to find it locally and ended up ordering it from strollers4less.

I ordered it last Tuesday afternoon, it arrived this morning a couple hours ago. We are ready to leave now! Just need to get my packing done, and we are off to Disney first thing Friday morning.

Did anyone contact Cosco to tell them about how well the other stroller held up? Maybe they would donate one to the cause!

I think these are close-outs?, but maybe Cosco will continue to make a similar model.
I'm hoping that the Fisher-Price model lasts as long as the Eddie Bauer Cosco one did!
