I truly thought that given the "frustrations" of the past few weeks, and the severe outage today, that the host room would remain open past 8:30 tonight.

I really really assumed actually.

Well, you know what happens when you assume something! You make a "donkey" out of u and me.

I am flabbergasted that the host ended the event at the regular time. Shame, shame on VMK. They should have some staff that could volunteer to host late tonight.

Okay, I have to say that it would be nice for VMK to "make up" for lost time. And to be at 15 when the clock hit 8:30pm and see the room close was awful.

However, staff should not VOLUNTEER to stay late. This is their job. They get paid to work.

I was just thinking in terms of salaried employees. I work overtime when it is required and I am not compensated for it. Heck, I would volunteer to run the host room tonight... just to make everybody a little happier after the day that was today.
