ok never wrote one of these so it may be a little lets just say BAD lol...bear with me...
lets see...i started planning our trip in march 05...so i could book a package and pay it off befor we go so all we had to do was take spending money..sounds good right? not really. I booked pofq (not planning on universal at this point) and one day of tickets and ddp...total 899.00
we are going to buy 3 day fl res. tickets when we get there, so we put some money aside on our credit card to do that, our visa has low limit because we dont want alot of debt. ok thats taken care of...hubby works overtime for the cash to put on the visa to make sure it is there...all done...over the next few months dh works a few details ( he is a cop so he works extra jobs like sitting at constuction site all night for extra cash, they get paid real good for it) we save around 1100.00 to spend and also pay off vacation. well one day around october we get some free tickets to universal in the mail..cool...we add a day to out trip, i call and get a room at rpr at a fl. res rate 125.00 so i book it that way we can use express pass.they say i have to put a deposit of one night which is all we are staying so i pay with debit card.ok all done yeh right!
well time for our trip, we load everyone up and we drive to orlando, it is raining when we get there and weather report says 80% all day so we say ok lets just go (rain stopped around 8 am) and try to get some stuff done while we can...i check in the hotel and they say can i see you card? i thought ok they have to che ck the card i paid with...then she swipes it! WAIT A MINUTE what did you do that for? oh your room has not been paid for...WHAT? yes it has...bank is not open...that charge cleared in october...so i argue the point with the manager so he says how about i charge you 60.00...whatever, they wont let us check in unless i pay this so i figure i will clear it up later...i hand over the visa for the 60.00 we put extra on it case we needed it.ok we head to the park IOA there were more employees there than guests! it was great they just let us ride over and over...also no rain...then we head over to the other park next door...after a while it started to sprinkle then a lady walked up and said will you do a survey? she said they had bottled water and donuts so the kids jumped at it and we got out of the rain..it took 30 minutes and they gave us 30 universal dollars to spend in the park and when we walked out rain was gone!we went back yo the room and went right to sleep oh the baby had a blast and we got the kids thing 1 2 & 3 t shirts .

oh my god! i called the bank to get our limit raised a little just in case then called visa.they say that cant lift the charge until someone with our credit union talks to the hotel to say its ok to take off the charge and they call visa....a really nice guy at the bank spent hours helping me do this so then they put the money back on card!i felt bad for my dh, he had to deal with me at this point and i was not happy at all.
