For the first time in several years we are hosting Thanksgiving and are excited to do so. There will be about 18-20 of us which is actually on the smaller side for our family.

I have just started planning and forgot how much there is to think about. Not only all the food and drinks, but logistics of how many chairs, how do we fit tables, appetizers, sleeping arrangements since some are from out of town, etc.. Looks like it will be a busy couple weeks coming up.

Who else is hosting? Have you started prepping?

I have to work. But it’s cool, we rarely do anything in thanksgiving. We will go to my sisters the Saturday after.

Yes, DH and I are cooking dinner for my brother Thanksgiving Day. We make enough so my DS and grandkids can eat a bunch the next day when they come to visit.

Yes - I host every holiday.
I don’t need to do any planning since I’m so used to doing it.
I will buy the ingredients for all the dishes tomorrow, so I know I have them and have time to get any ingredients the store doesn’t have somewhere else.
Have fun hosting 🍁🦃🍂

I gave Thanksgiving meal to DIL years ago, so I am not hosting.
I will bring what she asks me to provide, but we are leaving tomorrow and won't be back until the 18th, so hope it isn't too much.

We are hosting. Our family of four, my mother and my wife's parents. Will probably have enough food to feed 20.

I'm going to host for all the animals at the shelter. This gives the workers and other volunteers a chance to spend time with their friends and families without worrying about the animals as well. I've been away from them for a few weeks so I'm looking forward to seeing who's still there and all the new ones.

We are hosting, and as of right now there will be 11 of us for sure, and another 9 who have yet to decide and let me know, but I expect I'll hear from them shortly. All in all I suspect we will be at about 16 or 17.
I love Thanksgiving, and enjoy all the prep and cooking so I'm looking forward to a full, boisterous house.
I've started my pre-list lists, and I'll probably do a bit of shopping this weekend, however we have a tradition that we go out for breakfast and go do the 'big' shop the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Then the day before I go and pick up all the fresh vegetables and anything I ordered from the bakery.

I'm assuming we'll be going to my aunt's house as usual, though I don't know if we've heard officially yet.

I am sure the animals will be very happy to have you with them on Thanksgiving. What a beautiful gesture.

Won’t know if our son, daughter-in-law and 3 granddaughters are coming until closer to Thanksgiving. It all depends on what her family is doing.

We're hosting. My aunt is making the turkey and I'm in charge of the sides. There are only five of us, so we don't need a huge turkey.
