i am dying to book my trip for september (it's a me and mom trip!).... but from what i have read, i (we disers) shouldn't or they may not have free dining again. part of me wants to book anyway. it seems like there are lots of people booking for the time during free dining (if it's offered). that worries me....if the hotels are booked, they won't offer it......

so, are you waiting to book if they offer free dining?
are you booking, HOPING for free dining, and will cancel if they don't offer it?
are you booking and going no matter what?

oh, BTW....where is the first place it is posted if they DO offer it? i'm sure it will be a sprint to the phones!!

We are booked and have our air paid for already. I would love it if the free meal program would happen but from what I have read it is not expected. Other posters have said that since it has happened 2 years in a row it is unlikely that it will happen a third year. We are going then because our older son will have a week in September off from college and we are going to pull our younger son out of school for a week. I am not so sure that we will like the weather then but we are going to enjoy just being at WDW.

This will be our 3rd Sept trip & were lucky enough to get the Free Dining both years. We go right after Labor Day, so it's not busy at all & that's what we love! It's also our anniversary, so that's "technically" why we're going in Sept! Booked last week & got our airfare too! I'm just waiting for Labor Day now!! :0)

Well I am going to try to get over the fact that some people go this email/post code offer for a huge discount before I book because I am jealous of them. hahaha

So I want to go in September for several reason. Most kids are back in school and it will not be as crowded. Since school just started back I think it would be better to take my 8 year old out of school for a week then rather than later in the school year. I would love to get the free dinning but I would rather pay if it meant less people at WDW. Sure it will still be hot but leary of hurricanes during that time.

So I have read it is unlikely they will offer again. I have also heard that people booking in hopes of it will less our chance.

Go ahead and book it as I think a discount of some sort will be offered just not the free dinning.

I am waiting.

If free dining is offered we will go in September.

If not I will book our trip for early November.

Disney was not in our plans this year because we want to wait til DS is 3. We have a Vegas trip planned for May.

BUT if free dining is offered then my Mom and I will probably do a 4 night girls only trip (DH's work schedule is too busy that time of year). I even signed up for the Disney Visa card because I heard card holders were offered the free dining before the general public last year.

I think I saw where people who were at WDW for a vacation last Nov/Dec were offered a chance to book another vacation prior to departure to include free dinning. It that did well I am sure we won't see it.

We're going in September and hoping for NO free dining. We've already got the 40% off and would like to not experience overcrowded restaurants at every turn.

I hate to admit it, but that is the way we feel also. It's already going to be a mad house due to the 40% off offer. If free dining pops up, then all the hotels will be booked solid I bet. Ugh. So much for going during the slow season.

We are going the 9th-16th. I am hoping for some sort of discount/free dining due to the fact that I didn't get any of those fabulous 40% discount mailers:sad2: Yeah for all of you that did.
No matter what deals come out, we will be there. The airline tickets are purchased.
Hoping for MNSSHP on the 14th. The kids have never been only us adults.

Don't worry.

Even with lots of promotions I have a feeling Disney will not be booked soilid in September .

The restuarants may be full and some of the value resorts may be pretty full but the parks will still be pretty empty.

regardless of any discounts/free dining. We would *love* for our dining plan to be free, but we'll have it as part of our package anyhow. I'm just looking at free dining as icing on the big fat cake that is DISNEY WORLD! :rotfl:

Ok I am lost WHAT 40% off? WHAT free dining? Whats going on and why do I not know about this. :surfweb: I am going this Sept. with a cruise added on in the end. Please explain

There is loads of information regarding the 40% code and free dining right here in the Codes and Rates section. You just have to use your eyes, and read the posts there! :thumbsup2

I never get the dining plan because I have an AP and book room only ressies. I've already booked for two weeks in September, because it's value season and I wanted to get the resort I preferred before any big promotions might be announced. So I've got the AAA discount, but still hoping for an AP or Fla Res discount that's better.

Something to keep in mind: Just because Disney is booked doesn't mean the off property hotels are booked. So the parks still shouldn't be as crowded.

I was lucky enough to be able to get free dining for Sept already via the Bounce Back program when I was there in Dec. The CM I spoke to then said that Disney was 'severely limiting the number of free dining pkgs for 2007' and that the only way to get free dining was going to be through the UK program or the Bounce Back Program. Who knows if he's correct though?

However, even though I already have the free dining for Sept I'm considering canceling my pkg just due to principle. I also have a room booked for May (hoping for an AP discount) and was planning on returning in Nov or Dec. I was one of the ones who made numerous phone calls over the last two weeks trying to get the 40% off deal for my Nov/Dec trip. I knew all three codes and told them I was very flexible with both my dates and resorts, but every CM and manager shot me down saying the 40% codes were pins that had to be attached to my profile and since they weren't I couldn't use the codes (even though my dates fell within the time frames). Reading about everyone else being able to use the codes without a Pin attached to their profiles really left a sour taste in my mouth about Disney and I'm tempted to just boycott Disney and go to Universal from now on. If I don't get an AP discount that's comparable to that 40% off code I'm probably going to cancel my May trip, as well as my Sept trip and won't be returning in Dec either. At least Universal is fair to all their visitors.

We will be going Sept. 25 to oct 3. dads bday is 26th,ds's bday is 27 and we will also be celebrating my parents 40th:banana: If free dining(or some other good discount) is offered we will stay onsite, otherwise its offsite for us in a pool home. I really want to stay onsite so I am praying for the free dining.

There are 14 of us going 9/19 - 9/23 for our ALL GIRLS PRINCESS TRIP!! 4 of us have free dining from the bounce back ( I was there in Nov with 4yr old grandaughter), and 3 are under 3yr old & free all around. So that's a good deal for half of us. Hoping for free dining OR a code for the rest.

We feel the same way. Went in 2003 at that time of year and it was WONDERFUL. Such low crowds. Went last year and enjoyed the free dining, but it was SOOO much food, we were often not eating it all, and there was no leeway to change ADRs due to the masses on free dining! We are booked for this year w/ AAA discount on the room and I just hope there is no free dining. Though I wouldn't mind getting a discount on my tickets and 40% on the room!!!!!:wizard:
